WHY don’ t ( they) assemble it here and ship it to China instead of assembling it in ( with slave labor hands ) China and ship it to America where it belongs . forget about that global crap ,it’s an American brand deserves to be built here . The idiots can’t figure out why sales keep decreasing. Try too get this in your head Mary some people DON’T want suv’S…
THERE ARE NO COMPACT CROSSOVERS BUILT IN THE U.S.A.
The Encore GX is built in South Korea. That’s the part of Asia known for their B.B.Q. You seem to be confusing it with the part of Asia known for their StirFry and fine dinnerware (China)
The South Korean’s are definitely capable of making a great subcompact+ vehicle, but so is the United States. The closest thing to this market (in size and price) you can buy made mostly in the United States is a Honda Accord/CRV, Toyota Camry, or Hyundia Sante Fe. The irony should not be lost. Buy American 🙄
It’s really too bad GM killed of all their production of decent smaller vehicles made in the States. We’ll see how the Bolt and Co does, but I really don’t see the demand for EV’s rising that substantially, unless government mandated.

DESIGNED, BUILT & TESTED in the USA
The only GM vehicles that you listed that are remotely close to the GX in size and cost would be the Malibu or Bolt. One of which is going to be discontinued very soon and the other is a BEV. Obviously a BEV is really a direct competitor of any ICE vehicle. Cadillacs are obviously at a whole different price point. I am aware of what GM products are made in the United States.
I have a 2017 Encore. Who in there right mind is going to pay 30K for the Encore GX with a 3 cylinder lawn mower engine? I was really excited when I saw Buick was coming out with the GX model until I read that it could only be had with a 3 cylinder engine. Didn’t GM learn anything from the Cadillac Cimmaron blunder?
