Available later in the model year will be the Duramax turbo-diesel LM2 3.0L I6, good for 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Overall, the maximum towing capacity decreases slightly in the 2021 model, from 8,400 to 8,300 pounds, and it still trails its cross-town rival – the Ford Expedition, which boasts a maximum rating of 9,300 pounds. It also ranks below the Nissan Armada (8,500 pounds), but above the Toyota Sequoia (7,400 pounds).
We should note that towing capacities for the turbo-diesel 3.0L engine are not yet available. However, we did report on the 2021 Cadillac Escalade’s tow ratings, which include the oil-burning inline-six. Those figures should provide an indication of what to expect from the Tahoe diesel’s towing ratings.
GM started shipping the first units of the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe in June, and the SUV should arrive in dealerships shortly thereafter. Starting prices ranges from $50,995 to $76,595, before options. Compared to the last-gen models, the GM’s all-new full-size SUVs boast slightly higher fuel economy in city driving, but are a tad less efficient on the highway.

No information for a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe SS which means that the rendering was simply someone’s wetdream and nothing more.
In looking over the Tahoes and Yukons inventory arriving soon at dealerships I can’t find any with premium pkgs. that have the power bench second row seat instead of bucket seats. Why is that? It seems like most people needing these larger SUVs would want the extra seating capacity as well.
Donna, I can only speak for my family but we love the 2nd row bucket seats because it is easier to access our kids in the third row. Also, enables our 10 year old to go up the middle are easier when dropping off and picking up from school. With the 40/60 second row makes it allot more complicated in getting in/out folding up to access the kids in the 3rd row.
anyone know what the tongue weight is for tahoe premier?
