The 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe introduces a brand-new generation for the full-size SUV nameplate, with a ground-up overhaul that includes revamped exterior styling, a fresh interior design, a new architecture, and cutting-edge technology. The overhaul also brings all-new dimensions, with substantially more space for the third-row than the preceding 2020 model year. Now, Chevy is highlighting the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe’s third-row legroom in the following brief video.
Clocking in at under 30 seconds in length, the video shows a group of friends coming home after an afternoon at the lake. Two of the passengers head for the third-row bench seat, hitting the available power-release second-row seats to quickly gain access to the back. The video also highlights the comfort slide second-row, which provides even more room for rear-seated passengers.
As we covered previously, the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe features a massive 10.1-inch increase in third-row legroom, up to 34.9 inches compared to the 24.8 inches offered by the previous generation. There’s also an extra 1.15 inches in third-row shoulder room, 0.7 inches in extra third-row hip room, and an extra 0.1 inches in third-row headroom, with 63.75 inches, 50 inches, and 38.2 inches, respectively.
Other notable interior space increases include an extra 1.45 inches in first-row shoulder room, and an extra 10.2 cubic-feet of cargo space behind the third row. Of course, there are some small space decreases for the first row as well, so check out our Dimensional Comparison for a complete breakdown of the specs.
The 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe is offered with three engine choices, including the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87, and the turbodiesel 3.0L I6 LM2 Duramax. The latest Tahoe is built on the all-new T1 platform, and is assembled at the GM Arlington plant in Arlington, Texas.

Hopefully the upgrades will prevent Ford from running ads where to emphasized that despite the Chevrolet Suburban’s size their smallish CUV in comparison was designed to offer superior legroom.
GM did a great job on the Tahoe and Yukon.
Only thing I will say ys I am not sure why they chose a “smallish” infotainment screen. Modern and especially large vehicles should be getting 12 Inch Screens.
