2021 Chevrolet Suburban Gets New Graywood Metallic Color: First Look

The all-new 2021 Chevrolet Suburban offers a total of nine exterior colors, four which are new: Empire Beige Metallic, Cherry Red Tintcoat, Midnight Blue Metallic, and Graywood Metallic. Here’s our first look at the new Graywood hue.

Overview

Assigned color code GS6 and touch-up paint code WA-634D, Graywood Metallic is one of three silver/gray hues available for the 2021 Chevrolet Suburban, with the other two being Satin Steel Metallic and Shadow Gray Metallic. Buyers looking for a vibrant color will be disappointed, as Cherry Red is the only one offered.

Pricing

The new Graywood Metallic color is included in the base price of the 2021 Chevy Suburban. Notably, all exterior color options for the new Suburban are included in the price, except for Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, which costs an additional $995, and Cherry Red Tintcoat, which adds $495 to the price tag.

Availability

The new Graywood Metallic hue is available in conjunction with all 2021 Suburban trim levels and interior color combinations.

Launch Timeframe

Production of the 2021 Chevrolet Suburban has begun at the GM Arlington plant in Texas. Chevrolet previously confirmed that the 2021 Suburban will go on sale midway through the 2020 calendar year, despite complications caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Expect the new 2021 Suburban in the new Graywood Metallic color to begin arriving at dealers shortly.

    1. John, remember when Chevy offered 12 -15 exterior and 6 or 7 interior colors? Yes, including two-tone.

      1. Yes, and they did it before the days of computerized manufacturing and ordering. You could order, say, a nicer radio without having to buy a package. You could get a different rfear end ratio without having to buy a trailer package.

  7. Look at parking lots and it looks like an old B&W photo. Sad part is the colors are that drab.

  8. More dark colors.😩 Drive down the street and it is already dirty. What else goes with 90% of the vehicles made have black interiors. Needs light colors. How about light blue, and green metallics. I love the C8 Corvette but look at the colors, all are dark and flat colors that look like the new nail polish young girls are wearing.
