What Is The Chevrolet Suburban Texas Edition?

Texans have a whole lot of pride in their state, and Chevy has a great way to show that pride off via the Chevrolet Suburban Texas Edition. And why not – after all, Texas is also home to the GM Arlington plant, which produces the full-size Chevrolet Suburban. What’s more, roughly a third of Suburban retail sales are in the Long Star State, which makes a Texas-themed SUV a perfect fit. But the question is this – what exactly is the Chevrolet Suburban Texas Edition?

Essentially, the Chevrolet Suburban Texas Edition combines several of the most popular packages offered on the SUV, while also adding in some unique exterior badging to put that pride on display.

For the previous, eleventh-generation model, the Chevrolet Suburban Texas Edition package was only offered on LT and LTZ trim levels, while later model years (2019 and 2020) only offered the package on LTZ trim levels.

The features for Suburban Texas Edition models vary between each individual model year, but tend to include a number of convenience features, as we’ve listed below:

  • Texas emblem
  • Additional nine months SiriusXM Radio
  • Power fold third-row 60/40 split bench seats
  • Passive Entry System
  • Second-row power release 60/40 split folding bench seat
  • Keyless start
  • Outside heated power-adjustable, power-folding mirrors
  • Heated second row seats

  • Fog lamps
  • Front and Rear Park Assist
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert
  • Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Black roof rack cross rails
  • Color key rear fascia trailer hitch closeout

Looking ahead to the latest 2021 Chevrolet Suburban, it too will once again offer a Texas Edition model, this time on LT and Premier trim levels.
