Monster Jam currently has trucks with Chevrolet Silverado, Ram 1500, Nissan Titan and Ford F-150 bodies competing in the series, but there’s one popular one truck that isn’t represented in Monster Jam: the GMC Sierra.
If there are any GMC Sierra fans who would love to see the premium full-size pickup compete in Monster Jam, then we think they’d be very impressed with one of Timothy Adry’s latest creations. The rendering artist recently designed a GMC Sierra based monster truck, giving the truck full Monster Jam style suspension, massive 66-inch tall BKT tires and, perhaps most importantly, a supercharged General Motors Big Block V8.
If such a truck were ever built in real-life, it wouldn’t be based on a real GMC Sierra, but instead would feature a custom tube frame steel chassis with a fiberglass body intended to look like a GMC Sierra. We like that the designer of this truck envisioned it with a two-door regular cab body, as a crew cab monster truck would probably look a bit odd. As a reminder, the GMC Sierra regular cab is only available with a long box in base Work Truck trim in the United States.
Monster Jam trucks usually feature a heavy-duty two-speed transmission to go along with their supercharged Big Block motors, which send power to all four of the 43-inch wide tires. Nitrogen-filled gas shocks and durable solid front and rear axles enable drivers to pull off the massive jumps and stunts that crowds fill stadiums to come and see, and we imagine this GMC Sierra inspired monster truck would feature a similar suspension setup.
We’d love to see a GMC Sierra out wowing crowds in Monster Jam, but this rendering will just have to do for now. Let us know if this fictional GMC Sierra monster truck is a hit or a miss in the comments just below.
