Back in 2018, Hennessey Performance Engineering debuted its Chevrolet Silverado-based Goliath 6×6, which is essentially a massive, six-wheeled version of the popular Chevy pickup with various Hennessey upgrades and performance parts bolted onto it.
Now, the Texas-based tuning company has released a video of one of these rather crazy pickups undergoing some validation testing on its test road near its shop. We already saw a Hennessey Goliath 6×6 in action in a separate review video posted earlier this year, but that truck had a stock 5.3L L84 V8 engine. The truck in this video is a much more serious offering, packing a supercharged 6.2L L87 V8 engine under its hood that is good for 705 horsepower and 675 pound-feet of torque. While this may be one very big, heavy and aerodynamically challenged vehicle, but as we can see from the video above, it’s no slouch with this blown Small Block under the hood.
In addition to the supercharged V8 and additional rear axle, the Goliath 6×6 also comes with an eight-inch suspension lift, 20-inch Hennessey wheels wrapped in 37-inch BFGoodrich off-road tires, new front and rear bumpers, a bed-mounted utility bar and LED auxiliary lights.
This is one extremely expensive truck, it goes without saying, as even a stock Hennessey Goliath 6×6 starts at a whopping $375,000 including the donor vehicle. Items like the supercharged 6.2L V8 and other add-ons are extra, too, so we wouldn’t be shocked if it rung in at well over $500,000 USD. Hennessey also produces a custom 6×6 truck based on the Ford F-150 Raptor, which start at $350,000 including the donor truck. That’s a ton of money to spend on a pickup, but one thing is for sure: anyone driving a Hennessey Goliath 6×6 can rest easy knowing that there’s nothing else on the road quite like it.
