Customers looking to kit out their mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette with new 2020 Corvette accessories will several new options to choose from, with the availability of even more goodies scheduled to open up soon.
According to a recent post from Corvette Blogger, which cites an update sent to dealers that lists the new 2020 Corvette accessories roll-out schedule, customers are able to order up the following as of the second quarter of this year (RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- Wheel Lock, Ultra High Security (SQU)
- Premium Indoor Car Cover, Fully Rendered C8R (WKR)
- Contoured Black Floor Liners with Corvette Racing Jake Logo (RIA)
- Contoured Cargo Area Liners with Corvette Racing Jake Logo (CAV)
We previously covered the possibility that Chevrolet would offer a new indoor cover car cover depicting the C8.R race car, carrying over the popular option from the previous generation which depicted the C7.R on a cover for the C7 Corvette. That option has now been confirmed.
Further 2020 Corvette accessories are expected to open up availability in Q3 of 2020, including the following:
- Ground Effects Kit, Black (includes rockers and front splitter) (5V7)
- Rocker Panel Extensions in Visible Carbon Fiber (S6S)
- Rocker Panel Extensions in Carbon Fiber Painted Carbon Flash Metallic (SJI)
- Ground Effects Kit in Carbon Fiber Painted Carbon Flash (includes rockers and front splitter) (5W8)
We covered these 2020 Corvette accessories previously in a GM Authority Exclusive, but now, it looks as though they are opening up in terms of availability.
What’s more, certain 2020 Corvette accessories will no longer be available as a result of overwhelming customer demand. These include Visible Carbon Fiber Ground Effects (5VM), High Wing Spoiler in Arctic White, Torch Red, Black and Dark Shadow Gray (5ZU), and High Wing Spoiler in Carbon Flash Metallic (5ZZ).
Luckily, it looks as though the aftermarket is willing to pick up at least some of the slack. As we covered previously, ACS Composite has developed its own High Wing Spoiler that replicates the original 2020 Corvette accessory.

Corvette ownership is a sign of someone who work hard for everything they have whether you are young / old or whatever. You sound envious of Corvette owners…. you should be. It’s a fabulous car and currently the envy of the world. That probably why your reading the article in the first place.
I take it you consider yourself young and don’t like or respect older people either. Newsflash…enjoy your youth because it doesn’t last forever. You too will wake up one day and realize you’re getting old and will find out how clowns like you discriminate and disrespect people. I hope you can find a job and work hard and buy you a new toyota kia or whatever snowflakes are driving these days..

Lol, thanks for proving my point Mr. Boom. I troll the Vette not only for humor but the rest of Chevy and GMs car lineup is a joke for years but billions wasted on a low-volume 2 seater is supposed to pack showrooms?. Where’s the fun, practical cars GM use to make?, we almost received it with Zeta and Alpha but lo-and behold money went into trucks/SUVs and Vette leaving car buyers cold. The Accord/Civic isn’t that great but it’s the consistency over the years that got Honda where it’s at then you have the NSX to reward themselves, not develop NSX 1st and everything else last.
Besides when I get that old I wouldn’t lie to myself with a Vette .
Hey Troll:
Now you sound even more ridiculous. I love your lack of self awareness. I can’t stop laughing enough to write this….It’s a pretty sad existence when all you have to look forward to is “troll” GM for fun. Sounds like you are squandering your youth…get out and see the world, enjoy life even if its behind the wheel of a little Honda…
I fully respect that you prefer run of mill rice burners. What a bland life you must have. You obviously don’t know much about cars when you prefer a Suzuki over C8? Wow… I think the Zeta is only available in India.
When you get old you’ll look back at your life and think how daring you were in your little practical Honda or a Zeta.. good luck to you.
G-ranpa-man, I see the pills is wearing off makes ya a bit grumpy. I actually owned many GM V8s including a T/A, GP/GXP, T.Blazer SS, and guess what other than fast they were practical. I don’t know where you get I lm a rice-burner because I don’t like 2 seat Dbagmobiles with guys like you driving one, oh GM don’t even offer a smaller, turbo hatch anymore. Anyways enjoy your end-of-life retirement gift, you might request to be buried in your Vette😁.
Who are you calling Grampa? Now… I see who’s the Grampa here….holy cow…you’re nostalgic over T/As, GPs etc…. those cars are ancient man… you must be at least 70!!! Do you still have a mullet? Based on your vehicle history you are no spring chicken…..
I think those old cars were cool back then but I’m excited and embrace the new technologies of today.
Lol, course I’m not super young but I’m not 40+ either. I just wish for some decent GM performance that I can use everyday.
Can’t believe this article has generated so much hostility. The C8 is a great car just like the euro exotics. And I think GM did a fantastic job. No not everyone is into exotics. We all have different needs and perspectives. To each their own. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and should not be judged by what they drive.
Aftermarket kits and accessories are signs of a very popular car because it’s when no one comes out with any accessories for a specific model you need to worry.
No high wing but there’s an optional interior C8’R look alike car cover. Really? But I want cool super car stuff to go along with this cool super car like the high wing and all the ground aero. If it’s a supplier issue then GM should find another supplier. This is why I postponed my initial order and I’ll continue to wait until all these options become available. Imagine if the C8 had active aero but GM couldn’t give you the car with the aero bits lol. I love the C8 and I especially love all those C8’s I see on YouTube with the high wing and grnd aero. It just transforms the Stingray into a real exotic IMHO.
Michzael G. – Waiting until everything is perfect is like waiting for the perfect woman to be engaged to with every perfect accessory on her body, all in just the right size. You wait and wait and you are lonely waiting. All you ever get at the most is a test drive and in case of the C8 those are not available. Meantime the people who put their deposits down are having the times of their lives in the new C8. You could have ordered a C8 and got this car which has no regular issues, with a base C8 without aero (that you just have to have immediately) runs a 194 top in, stock. Modified it hit 205 mph. The magnetic ride control is so sweet that people from all over the country took delivery at the CM and then drove across the U. S. with nary a complaint about comfort. Yes, Mr. G…wait and wait and wait and wait for her steady date. AF
I sold my C7 GS because I was so amazed by the C8 when it was unveiled. I owned exotics in the past including a 911 Porsche, 355 Ferrari GTS and a Viper. The C7 GS was really fun and totally under rated. I can imagine what the C8 will be like. I saw a few of them up close and the lines are beautiful and the feeling the C8 exudes is exhilarating. I just want to spec the car the way I want it and be proud of my spec whether I’m driving it or detailing it.
