MBRP’s new four-inch exhaust for the latest iteration of the Silverado HD and Sierra HD helps to give the 6.6L L8T V8 engine a deeper, more defined exhaust note. The entire cat-back kit consists of a high-flow stainless steel resonator, four-inch tubing, a high-flow four-inch muffler as well as a mandrel-bent four-inch tailpipe, and exits into a fully polished T304 stainless steel exhaust tip. According to Barkey, this stainless steel aftermarket exhaust will not rust during the truck’s lifetime, giving owners peace of mind as they swap out their new truck’s stock exhaust for this upgraded unit.
MBRP demonstrated its new four-inch cat-back exhaust for the 6.6L L8T-equipped Silverado HD and Sierra HD in a recent video posted to its YouTube channel. The video shows Barkey driving one of the MBRP shop trucks with the exhaust, a 2020 Sierra Denali HD, and showing how it sounds at regular acceleration and cruising speeds. Barkey then demonstrates how the new exhaust kit sounds when the massive heavy-duty pickup is at wide-open throttle, revealing the deep, baritone exhaust note the kit delivers – something so many heavy-duty truck owners desire.
Barkey promises customers that this exhaust won’t produce any drone at cruising speeds and retains a similar comfort and sound level to the stock exhaust offered on the pickups.
The entire MBRP four-inch cat-back exhaust for the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD starts at $1,049.99 USD, according to the brand’s website. That price does not include delivery or installation, it is worth noting.
