Last month, we pulled 2020 Corvette orders from Kerbeck Chevrolet, the largest Corvette dealership in the United States, to determine which colors were the most popular on the new mid-engine sports car. Kerbeck’s numbers indicated Torch Red was the most popular color for the 2020 Corvette, followed by Arctic White and Elkhart Lake Blue Metallic in second and third, respectively.
Now General Motors has published its own numbers for 2020 Corvette exterior colors, however, giving us a clearer picture as to which are the most common colors for the new sports car. Not surprisingly, Torch Red remains the most popular 2020 Corvette exterior color, followed by Arctic White with 15% of orders and Black with 12%. Rounding out the top five most popular colors are Sebring Orange Tintcoat Metallic and Elkhart Lake Blue Metallic, both of which have 7% of the order ratio.
But while the most popular colors ordered from Kerbeck Chevrolet may differ slightly from Chevrolet’s total numbers, the least popular colors were identical. The least popular colors for the 2020 Corvette are Zeus Bronze Metallic and Accelerate Yellow Metallic, both of which account for just 3% of 2020 Corvette orders.
GM also provided some figures for the popularity of the 2020 Corvette interior colors. The most popular interior color on the sports car is Jet Black at 85%, while Adrenaline Red is close behind with 25%. Jet Black with Red accents was third, accounting for 12% of all orders, and was tied with Natural, also at 12%. The least popular interior color was Morello Red at 1%, followed by Jet Black with Yellow accents at 3%.
Additionally, GM has also provided some figures on the most popular options for the 2020 Corvette. The vast majority (89%) of customers opted for the Performance Exhaust while many customers (61%) also wanted the more comfortable GT2 bucket seats as opposed to the Competition seats. The front axle lift system is also popular, with 58% of customers ticking the box for this convenient and practical option.
The 2021 Corvette will add two new paint options to its pallette, which include Red Mist Tintcoat Metallic and Silver Flare Metallic.

Color choice would be a huge dilemma for me on this car. As I’ve said, I haven’t seen a color yet I don’t like on the C8.
On a side note… is it just me or is anyone else seeing a rotary phone in the interior shot?
Nope. Nope. You’re just seeing things.
Definitely a rotary phone there. Odd.
The never said anything about new cup holders!
Id’ like to see a couple of “flat” finishes available. Not every color has to be metallic and glossy. Even a flat red could be cool!
I personally really like the Zeus Bronze. Classy and sporty at the same time. Given the rest of the color palette, not too surprising it has ranked at the bottom. But then again Pewter seemed quite popular back in the C5 era.
Some people will love Zeus Bronze, but it’s destined to be a niche color, running not much more than a year. I suspect that everybody who wants it already has ordered it
Definitely a fine touch, the Rotary!!
Classy!! Just like back in the day when we were all connected to TPC (The Phone Company).
Or POTS lines. (Plan Old Telephone Service)
Old copper lines.
Dear !!!! Nice Post, thanks for sharing great article……

Like manual shift, there are a lot of young people that are clueless How to use a rotary phone.
I would like to see a pearl white on the VETTE’S exterior !!!
Colors I believe have a number of aspects when they are chosen on cars and those motivations change with age, usually. Despite Accelerate Yellow and Zeus Bronze not being popular for ordering, doesn’t mean for sure that people don’t like these colors. Rather, favorite colors are colors that customers (people) like the best. Colors can be influenced somewhat by the peer group. The loudest color on a motor car is bright red. Sure enough Torch red leads. The Corvette is suddenly considered by a large percentage of people reviewing it, considering it, as a generational car the provides a great mix of features; provides a platform for the future; and lastly, costs an amount of money that a larger part of the car buying public can reach or aspire to than was ever thought possible. Thus the car stands up and demands to be noticed. The Torch Red and Arctic White colors both accomplish that goal. Black does it in a different way and is also connected with serious, sinister and elegant motor cars. Desirability down the road may have something to do with the combinations of the interiors selected. Options of course are another aspect. This is all particularly true for this first mid-engine Corvette. Of course, as usual, as the higher level of performance and luxury develop with the car, their values will go up with owners and potential bidders for the car. Looking ahead might not be the general idea for the Corvette, but for those who do, perhaps even that aspect of their selections will impact the colors that the buyers choose. AF
