For those 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 owners looking to add some extra composite tastiness to their new mid-engine sports car, Sigala Designs is now offering this carbon fiber engine cover.
The new carbon fiber engine cover is molded after the factory Corvette C8 design, and comes with the same fin-like protrusions and chiseled styling. However, the whole thing is done in unpainted carbon fiber with a glossy finish.
The new carbon fiber 2020 Corvette C8 engine cover is intended as a direct replacement for the factory piece, and according to the manufacturer, takes just five minutes to install. Pricing for the piece is listed at $549.99.
As a reminder, the C8 comes with a grey engine cover as standard, while factory options include an Edge Red engine cover and a Sterling Silver engine cover.
“Include this item with our engine appearance package and you will have the most beautiful engine among other Corvette C8 owners,” Sigala Design writes. In addition to the carbon engine cover, the company also sells carbon fiber dress-up pieces for other areas of the engine bay, as well as carbon aero bits for the exterior, and even a C8 widebody kit.
As a reminder, the 2020 Corvette C8 is powered by the mid-mounted, naturally aspirated 6.2L LT2 V8 engine. Output is rated at 490 horsepower at 6,450 rpm and 465 pound-feet of torque at 5,150 rpm.
With the new LT2 proudly on display under the rear hatch glass, adding a little extra dress-up to the equation is sure to have a profound effect on the C8’s overall appearance. And with so many other carbon fiber parts to match this new engine cover, buyers can really let their imagination run wild to make their Corvette stand out.

I never expected to read about a $550 engine cover! The ordinary plastic engine covers on my cars (a Chevy and a Ford) are enough for me. Beauty is relative to your wallet!
I believe the two color options on the C8 are $500 from GM. Pricey but not out of line. I expect the price will come down a bit.
The carbon fiber cover looks awesome and very exotic. However, really only the painted red cover makes the engine itself stand out any more than the stock cover, although the silver cover does have nice sort of “bling” to it. The amount of weight saved is insignificant. I compliments the company: it is beautiful. However, I’ll take a pass on this beautification effort, especially at this price point. AF
