During the month of June 2020, a nationwide Chevrolet Tahoe discount reduces the price of all 2020 models by $4,750 in addition to offering buyers the option to defer payments for 120 days as long as they finance with GM Financial. Notably, it appears the Bow Tie brand has pulled its manufacturer incentives for remaining in-stock 2019 Tahoe models.
Incentives
Nationwide Chevrolet Tahoe discount offers in June are as follows:
- Featured Discount Offer: $4,750 consumer cash
- Deferred payments for 120 days available when financing with GM Financial
- Featured Lease Offer: $549/month for 39 months
- Ultra low-mileage lease with 10,000 miles per year
- For eligible current lessees:
- $4,739 due at signing (after all offers)
- $0 security deposit
Interested shoppers should note that the above Chevrolet Tahoe discount offers will be available through June 30th, 2020. Additionally, General Motors is also offering special vehicle discounts for first responders and healthcare workers on the frontlines of the battle against the COVID-19 coronavirus until the end of month.
For reference, here are the 2020 Tahoe trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, $1,295 destination freight charge included:
- LS (1LS) – $50,295
- LT (1LT) – $55,095
- Premier (1LZ) – $63,995
As such, the headlining $4,750 Chevrolet Tahoe discount offer lowers the starting price of the 2020 LS model to $45,545, while the LT model falls to $50,345, and the range-topping Premier model drops to $59,245.
The GM Authority Take
The 2020 model year will be the last for the current-generation Tahoe, since an all-new, next-generation Tahoe will arrive for the 2021 model year (see more on 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe). As such, we believe that recent Chevrolet Tahoe discount offers are intended to incentivize current GM owners to purchase the current model, rather than waiting for the next-generation model or switching to a more modern offering from Ford (Expedition) or Nissan (Armada).
That said, it’s worth noting that, so far, this year’s Chevrolet Tahoe discount offers have been more conservative compared to last year’s, which included an 11 percent discount in March and a 14 percent discount in November. By comparison, January’s discount was “only” $4,000 as was February’s offer, while March’s featured discount was an even lesser $3,000.
