Check Out Pricing And Order Details For SVE’s 2021 GMC Syclone

Just last week, we covered the debut of the outrageous new offering from Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE), dubbed the 2021 GMC Syclone. This Canyon-based monster takes after the original GMC Syclone by stuffing super car-levels of performance into a pickup truck body. Now, we have additional info on the 2021 Syclone with pricing and order process details.

According to SVE customer service representative Mary Ann Limongello, customers are required to order their host vehicle (that is, the factory vehicle to which SVE adds the 2021 GMC Syclone package) through General Motors. The 2021 GMC Syclone is not sold directly to the public – rather, customers need to contact their dealership of choice and let them know that they would like to add the SVE package to their order. The vehicle is then drop shipped to SVE using the drop ship code listed on the dealer sales agreement. Canadian dealers are required to order through GM, while U.S. customers can order off the dealer lot.

The 2021 GMC Syclone package is only offered on a single trim level and body configuration, namely the 2021 GMC Canyon Elevation Standard Extended Cab with 4WD and the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGZ gas engine. The host vehicle can be in any factory color, but we suggest black as a nod to the original Syclone.

Orders require a $10,000 deposit. Once the deposit is received, a build number is assigned. Builds are executed in the order that host vehicle arrives at SVE, with build times estimated between four and five weeks.

Once the build is complete, SVE will supply the dealership with a Certificate of Origin, officially changing the vehicle from a GMC Canyon to a 2021 GMC Syclone.

Now, here’s the big number – pricing for the 2021 GMC Syclone hits at $79,995, which does not include the price of the host vehicle. Production is limited to 50 units total. Options include a folding black tonneau cover ($1,295) and custom seat trim for front and rear seats with red and white “Syclone V8 Supercharged” logos on the headrests, available in either Jet Black or Cocoa Dune ($2,495).

The build also includes a three-year / 36,000 mile warranty, which is void if the vehicle is used for racing. The engine warranty is void if any fuel other than 91 octane or higher E10 is used, with 93 octane recommended. The vehicle is not emissions legal in the state of California.

  1. Have they at least provided performance details on what the extra $80k provides?

Not that it would convince me to buy.

    1. After seeing corvettes before this current C8; on roads & driving games; the performance Syclone being a AWD truck: I’d choose a truck over a low driving automobile any day!

  3. Putting things in perspective, 750 hp is almost Nascar truck territory. As a matter of fact, is a lot more power than that of a Dodge RAM SRT-10, which was already very fun to drive back in the day.

  5. They will only convert a base model? I can see why they wouldn’t want to do an AT4, but why not a Denali?

  10. I think they should have let the customer decide which body style they would like for their truck, especially for an $80k upgrade! They could still have limited it to 50 vehicles … but for that price, I’d rather go buy a Cadillac Escalade and supercharge it for still less money!
