Comments
The discounts are almost a roll back to 2019 pricing as a way to encourage buyers and is reason why some dealers get stuck with new ‘old’ inventory of cars that they were never able to sell; because General Motors offer price cuts and roll back to 2019 models which make the 2020 vehicles attractive and dealers with a 2019 is stuck.
$5,000 cashback rebate for 2019 models – We’re nearly in July 2020 and about 4 months from the 2021’s being sold and GM is still trying to dump 2019 inventory? Whats that say about GM Senior Mgt? In a market where customers cant get enough CUV’s, and where GM supposedly had inventory issues due to the pathetic UAW strike and then the Chinese Virus, it clearly shows this vehicle is yet another swing and miss for GM and the junk it assigns to its “premium” brand. The XT4 introduced in 2018 as a 2019 model show’s how short sighted GM is launching mediocre vehicles under the premium brand such that they’re laying $5K on the hood of a first year new vehicle. HOW does Mary Barra keep her job… well you know why… Why not launch a fabulous product and price it accordingly…. this is GM…. really sad company with simply overpriced, noncompetitive vehicles and absolutely incompetent leadership…
I really wanted to purchase a new GM car last December, however after looking at the fairly mediocre range, and yeah that includes Cadillac who should be leaders of the world in new technology, I purchased instead another American built car that is world leading in technology and design etc. So that’s another sale that didn’t go to GM
I don’t think there is anything wrong with the XT4, except that if you want to get an attractive looking one you have to spend $50+k! GM insists on making anything lower in the range look dowdy/ boring, thinking they will drive you to check the expensive option boxes, but instead they drive people to BMW where you can get a Sports Pack on just about any trim level giving you a $40k SUV that looks great!
Decided against making a further comment on this hopeless effort… its simply “not” a Cadillac…
