Cadillac Perfume And Cologne Hinted By New Trademark Filing

A new trademark filing suggests that a Cadillac perfume and cologne line might be on the horizon.

General Motors has filed to trademark “Cadillac” in association with two goods and services categories:

  • Room fragrances; perfumes and colognes; non-medicated soaps for personal use
  • Candles

The filing, made on January 2nd, 2020 and assigned serial number 88744440, suggests that Cadillac might expand its business or, more likely, license its brand to create the fragrances.

The last time a Cadillac perfume and cologne were offered was in 2012 and once before that in 2008. As far as we’re aware, a total of five perfumes/colognes were marketed under the Cadillac name. The fragrances introduced in 2012 were developed by Arnaud Winter, a celebrated French perfumer who is known for working with prestigious global brands.

Though a trademark filing is far from a confirmation or an official announcement that a Cadillac perfume or cologne is on the way, it certainly does indicate the direction that the winds are blowing within The General and The Crest.
