The GM Authority Take

Cadillac Mexico sales decreased dramatically during April, which was the first full month of COVID-19-related quarantine and stay-at-home orders in the Latin American country. The 27 Cadillac deliveries in April represents the brand’s lowest sales volume in the Mexican market, with the results following six months of consecutive double-digit declines in Cadillac Mexico sales.

While all Cadillac models suffered significant drops in sales, the Cadillac XT5 was the vehicle with the lowest drop (of 35 percent), becoming the brand’s best-selling nameplate in April with 11 units. By contrast, the XT4 suffered the worst drop and posted the lowest sales figure among Cadillac models that are not discontinued. As such, the compact crossover lost its typical position as the best-selling Cadillac model in the Mexican market.
