Buick Regal TourX Discount Reaches $5,500 In June 2020

Buick Regal TourX discount offers for the month of June will seem familiar to shoppers with a keen eye, as the $5,500 reduction in the price of both 2019 and 2020 TourX models as well as interest-free financing offer for both models have been available for nearly the entire second quarter of 2020. Notably, GM has reduced the length of the interest-free loan from 84 to 72 months.

For those who might not be familiar with the product, the current, sixth-generation Buick Regal will remain in production for the 2020 model year. Afterwards, the nameplate will be discontinued in the North American market. Although the Regal will no longer be offered in the U.S. and Canada, it will still be sold in China where demand for sedans remains significant.

The Incentive

Nationwide Buick Regal discount offers for the TourX during the month of June 2020 are as follows:

  • Featured Purchase Offer: $5,500 consumer cash
    • Applies to both 2019 and 2020 models
    • Excludes base (1SV) trim level
  • Featured Finance Offer: 0 percent APR for up to 72 months
    • Applies to both 2019 and 2020 models
    • Excludes base (1SV) trim level
    • Must finance with GM Financial

Interestingly, Buick continues to exclude base 1SV models from the incentives. Shoppers should also note that the above offers will remain valid thru June 30th, 2020. Additionally, General Motors is offering special vehicle discounts for first responders and healthcare workers on the frontlines of the battle against the COVID-19 coronavirus until the end of the month.

For reference, here are the 2019 and 2020 Buick TourX models along with their respective MSRPs, $925 destination freight charge included:

2019

  • TourX 1SV (Base) – $29,995
  • Preferred – $33,595
  • Essence – $35,995

2020

  • TourX 1SV (Base) – $30,295
  • Preferred – $33,895
  • Essence – $35,995

Prospective buyers should note that this month’s Buick Regal TourX discount is on par with offers for the wagon so far this year, and is nearly identical to January’s discount as well as March’s rebate, though it’s a smidge less lucrative than February’s $6,250 offer.

  1. Sales for the 2020 Buick Regal Tourx must be flat because a $5,500 discount is severe given that the base price of the Regal Tourx is just $30K; the low sales volume is a clear indicator that people have absolutely no desire to buy such a vehicle and prefer something like the Buick Envision instead.

    1. Or, they bought the Regal Sportback, which is now impossible to find. The fwd Regal Sportback with the 2.0t is a rocket ship compared to the AWD wagon or Envision.

      1. I’m confused, the lighter car with the same engine is faster? Who would have guessed that.

  2. This consumer cash of $5500 applies to the regal GS also. Except in Thorton Colorado. That dealer has a 2020 black GS. With an MSRP of $45,230. -$5500 consumer cashback. Destination and handling fee of $599. A market adjustment fee of $5000. The total price is $45,329. That is $129 over MSRP. And they list the savings as $5500. I am not going to say the name of the dealer. Because I do not want to embarrass O’MEARA Buick GMC.

    1. At that price point I would opt for a Cadillac, or something from another manufacturer. Kia stingers with the twin turbo V6 are listed at my local dealers for around 40k. That is really about as much as a GS is worth. Personally, I wouldn’t pay more than 37k for one because at that price you can have a well optioned CT4. Just my opinions on the matter.
