A new round of Buick Regal discount offers reduces the price of select 2019 and 2020 Sportback and GS models during the month of June 2020. In both cases, the discounted amount is a generous $5,500. Additionally, buyers can also take advantage of interest-free financing offers for both 2019 and 2020 Regal models. Notably, GM has reduced the length of the interest-free loan from 84 months to 72 months.
For those unfamiliar with the product lineup, the 2019 Regal Sportback and 2020 Regal Sportback and GS are your only options if you wish to purchase a brand-new passenger car from the Tri-Shield brand, as every other vehicle in its portfolio is a crossover SUV of sorts, including the Encore, Encore GX, Envision, Enclave, and the Regal TourX wagon.

What” is a Buick Regal I have seen no ads for one is it a foreign auto ????
The best car no one buys! Not the finest interior but leap years ahead of Toyota or VW or Malibu.
GM would have been smarter to market Insignia as the global Malibu outside of Europe. Would have given Nissan and Ford a real rival.
I drive a ‘19 GS. It is a sleeper car. Hardly see any others on the road. The worst thing about it is the depreciation. But, it is better than the Passat, Accord, Camry, Fusion and Malibu. Plus, the LGX engine is a time-tested winner. My only gripe is the lack of a dedicated disable button for the auto start-stop feature. I bought a defeat device that registers the hood as open.
I just bought a 19 regal GS last week. The only one I could find in my state was a 2020. It had $5500 consumer cash back. But the dealer added $5000 for a market adjustment. The price was $50,000.
So I checked on Autotrader, found one a thousand miles away. So I hopped on Southwest and went To check it out. I paid $26,500. It has 22,000 miles. I put 1000 miles on it in two days. At 70 miles an hour I averaged 31.4 miles per gallon.
In a year it should be worth about $19,000.
You can’t just put it manual and tap it up to 6th?
This has to be the most underrated quality auto from the general. My mom has one and it is fantastic.

The timing of this story is impeccable.
JWL,
My thought exactly.
And, gmauthority.com, what makes this entirely stupid and useless article newsworthy?
What’s your next news flash,
“Japanese Forces Attack Pearl Harbor Sunday, December 7, 1941!”?
Yeah, just like gmauthority.com loves to write silly stories about police chases that incidentally happen involve GM vehicles, when it is really a police story that 99.9% of the readers couldn’t give a crap about. I wish they would just stick to hard news about GM vehicles and GM operations, and forget about police chases or new Corvette spin-outs and crashes just to fill up space on the daily issue.
If I had to buy a new car tomorrow an Regal Sportback Preferred would be at the top of the list. The local dealership just got on that’s listed at 26k and I want to buy it so bad. Unfortunately, the blokes in Orion Michigan built my 2013 sonic too damn well and I’ll probably get another 3 years out of it. I would love to have an excuse to go buy that Regal.
h4sksaw: If you bought a new Regal tomorrow, you’d be paying $5500 more for it than today, LOL!
Haha. True, I missed my chance.
I would still like to park a GS in my driveway
Well, we have a 2019 GS red as the one shown and we just love it! Better than the cts and the ats coupe we had! One complaint how and the hell did the upper decision-makers allow the dumb ass engineers not to have a remote hatch release on the keyless remote and not one inside the car!? The only way to open the hatch is to push on the trident emblem on the back! Stupid is as stupid G M does! It is so sad that GM is just kicking us, loyal customers, to the curb over not building cars. I do not need a truck or SUV. I hope this comes around in the future and bites them in the ass!
I think these cars are under rated. I own a 2018 Pearl Metallic Regal GS that I bought to replace my Carbon Grey Metallic 2009 Saab 9-3 Linear Sport Sedan since I was looking for a car that was similar to my existing car. We also picked up a 2019 Black Regal GS yesterday that was a GM Executive driven vehicle for my older son. This car is replacing his 2009 Saab 9-3 XWD Sport Sedan.
We were both looking for a car that was as good as our existing vehicle and since Saab is no longer around the Regal GS is the next best thing and as I like to call it my Saab 2.0 as this would be the same platform if they were still being built.
