The 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 has now been around for nearly a year, receiving several updates and changes. However, one noteworthy change only arrived to Big Red’s bread-and-butter pickup truck for the second quarter of the 2020 calendar year. That change is the addition of the Carbon Black Metallic exterior color.
Overview
Assigned color code GCI and touch-up paint code WA-621D, Carbon Black Metallic is one of two black hues available for the 2020 GMC Sierra 1500, along with Onyx Black. It is also one of five dark hues, one of seven metallics, and one of twelve total color options.
In fact, Carbon Black Metallic replaces Smokey Quartz Metallic in the second quarter of 2020.
Pricing
The Carbon Black Metallic color option is not included in the base price of the all-new Sierra 1500. Instead, it costs an additional $495.

Live to dream.. a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 Kingcab with exterior composite body panels to drop the curb weight by 800 lbs meaning the 2.7L DOHC-4v 4-cyl turbo base engine wouldn’t need to work so hard and could get better mileage.
