Copious levels of horsepower and inexperience are not exactly a great combo. Unfortunately, it appears as though that’s exactly what happened to this poor C7 Corvette Z06, which apparently got stuffed into a center divider – hard.
Featured in this 13-minute video from YouTuber Rob Feretti, also known as superspeedersRob, this C7 Corvette Z06 started out as a high-powered rental offered through Feretti’s exotic car rental company. However, after years renting out track-bred performers like the Z06, Feretti knew something was up the second he delivered it. He even warned the customer about the car’s performance potential.
“Sure enough, I got the response that made me even more nervous, which is, ‘Don’t worry. I don’t drive like that.'”
As it turns out, the customer did indeed drive like that, and the result is an utterly destroyed C7 Corvette Z06 front end.
After a three-minute spiel on Feretti’s experience with customers who ended up stuffing it, we get a walkaround on the now-ruined C7 Corvette Z06. The Vette is parked at a body shop, with the front end looking like a big tangled mess of plastic, metal, and rubber.
Seeing the Z06 Convertible in such a sad state ain’t easy, but Feretti carefully combs through the wreckage to see what can be salvaged. The host estimates that the damage will run about $20,000 to $25,000 to repair, as even though the front fascia is a mess, most of the rest of the car is still doing okay. The engine starts and runs, and everything behind the front end is more or less unscathed. The warning lights in the dash indicate that the airbag needs servicing (only the driver’s air bag deployed) and that one of the rear tires needs some air, but that’s pretty much it.
Regardless, the lesson here is pretty clear – it’s better to just not “drive like that” and enjoy the car within your limits then to have your screw-up documented on YouTube.

That dammed center divider! It was doing evil, getting into the driver’s way!
