Speedkore Performance Group is best known for its high-end custom performance vehicle builds and specialty carbon fiber products. Now, Speedkore is offering up a fresh set of composite parts for the C8 Corvette.
For now, the company has two carbon fiber C8 Corvette parts on offer. The first is a new front splitter that fits underneath the stock mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette’s front bumper. The piece follows the pointy edges of the C8’s lower fascia, jutting out with a gorgeous weave in the shape of the original OEM splitter design. The new splitter is made from prepreg carbon, and is autoclave cured. The piece is predrilled for mounting, and is offered in either a glossy or matte finish.
Speedkore is also offering a set of new carbon fiber C8 Corvette rocker panels. These too are in the shape of the OEM pieces, tucking up underneath the new Vette’s body and folding up around the rear door line. Like the carbon fiber splitter, the carbon rocker panels are made from prepreg carbon and are autoclave cured. The rocker panels are pre-drilled for installation, and are also offered with either a glossy or matte finish.
Pricing for both the carbon fiber splitter and the carbon fiber rocker panels was unavailable at the time of writing, but the pieces look to be of a very high quality, and should add a fantastic splash of composite tastiness to the package.
Not that the C8 Corvette doesn’t already offer a huge number of carbon fiber styling options from the factory. Buyers can also option in extras like the Carbon Fiber Dual Roof Package, a Carbon Fiber grille insert, and Carbon Fiber mirror caps, if desired, but still, these new Speedkore parts take the look up a notch.

All the carbon fiber parts look tasty. I’d like the side air intake cover, or replacement. It looks, “mental.”
The ground effects kit looks like the real deal. AF
First thought was that this could potentially be great until you look at the pictures and the composite components do not add to the appeal of the Chevrolet C8 Corvette given that they do not appear to be replacement parts as much as parts that are put on the current car; they’re going to need to rethink this if they really want to catch on.
You have a good point. I could not tell if the ground effects on the sides, have the same angles as do the original pieces that were approved by GM. One problem I noted is that on the options sheet, one can option the lower sill areas as sort of accents in black or flash carbon painted and have them put on the car, at extra expense. Then if one obtains carbon fiber effects in the aftermarket, one must then take an extra-cost option off of the car in order to fit the ground effects kit. That results in the kit treatments of the car having double expenditures, while only being able to use one kit at a time. AF
Looks like the real deal to me and they are pre-drilled. If GM can’t supply these accents then I don’t have a problem buying them elsewhere. Quality might even be better so what’s not to like!
Are the carbon fiber parts from GM, mainly interior, stick ons? Similar to what is purchased if ordered direct?
