Over the past two decades, MAD Industries has established a reputation for piecing together impressive vehicle builds using high-end aftermarket parts and automotive accessories. Now, we’re checking out the company’s latest Chevrolet Silverado 1500, which rocks a unique black-and-blue bruiser style.
MAD Industries started this particular project with a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado RST Crew Cab equipped with the Z71 Off-Road Package. Combining four-door convenience with off-road capability, this particular example is powered by the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 with Dynamic Fuel Management, which in stock form doles out 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque.
To give it this Chevrolet Silverado the appropriate tone, MAD Industries added a Gibson Performance Exhaust system with dual rear outlets. The engine oil comes from AMSOIL and an Odyssey battery was added as well.
The biggest upgrades can be found outside, where this Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was fitted with a custom “Concept Cap” from LEER with an SUV-style rear door. The cap is offered with LED lighting, keyless entry, and a headliner, and looks quite good on top of the pickup. To note, this cap would defeat the Rear Camera Mirror functionality, as we covered previously.
Outback, we find a BedSlide cargo system to enhance the rear storage space even further.
Rigid Industries is also well-represented in this build with its LED RDS-Series Pro 54-inch Sport light bar, Series Pro Spot Lights, and RI 800 flashlight.
The profile reveals AMP Research Powerstep running boards, as well as Air Design fender flares with Super RIM Bolt rivet-style fitment. The truck rides on Pro Truck-Lift Performance Springs from Eibach, under which rolls a set of forged Hardline wheels sized at 20 inches by 9.5 inches. Wrapping the rollers is A/T Gripper tires sized at 285/55R20.
The body is covered in BASF RM Line Onyx HD paint, while the wheels also get a custom finish. Finally, the cabin space gets black Roadwire custom leather upholstery with blue accents, while select interior components were painted in Northsky Metallic Blue paint.

Love it! Apart from those stupid bolt-on fenders.
Love it
I built a 2016 3/4 ton Duramax just like this. Great truck , should not have sold it😪
Would be better if this was done with the Chevrolet Suburban that has the Ecotec L86 6.2L V8 that makes 420 hp.
I like this alot- very close to what I’m looking for.
But, the slide-out in the truck bed is over-kill laziness, to me.
And, takes up more room than being overly helpful.
Might try putting in a bed rigging on the left, and a slide
on the right side that pulls out a shelf with ice chest, grill, etc.
Looks great but should have a diesel option
Ugliest truck GM has ever released…period.
.. yet you still drive that Vibe
Nice looking truck! PLEASE bring back the Avalanche! With the sharp look of the Silverado and Suburban I can just picture the Avalanche in my head! It would be a sure winner on the road! The best feature that was never advertised enough as a strong selling point was the fold down panel on the inside to give you the room of a full size bed!!! It was the luxury feeling of driving an SUV with the convenience of a pick up all wrapped into one vehicle!!!
Exactly what Avalanche needed was a redesign. No other truck in the world with a mid gate and boldness of a transformer…..
Nothing can help the the weird mating of the front fascia and fender it’s horrible. Then theres the junk IFS and the junk electronic transfer case. 3 strikes.
You have to wonder why the Silverado has been redesigned every year since 2013 although the 2014-2015 were similar big changes made on the 2016-2017 over the 2014-2015 then 2016-2019 except for the crew cab backseat growing a bit larger…
One more pondering thought the demise of the impala came when they made the Malibu look almost the same design and Rear Lights….really no class. Should have Redesigned the Impala to look like a 1969 or 1970.
1. Hate the camera is defeated.
2. Stupid super short bed.
3. Engine should have been tweaked some, and some gear-specific options should be offered.
Nice color though.
