The recently expanded Holley Performance EFI Lo-Ram intake manifold lineup now offers its benefits to builders who are looking to power their hot rod projects with LS1, LS2 or LS6 Chevy V8 engines. For starters, its modular design enables the use of the included top-feed plenum entry, and its low height aids the packaging of a plenum mounted air-to-water intercooler in a top-feed configuration, allowing it to fit under a stock or mildly modified hood in the front-feed configuration.
As we mentioned, this particular EFI Lo-Ram intake mani was designed for GM LS Gen III and IV engines equipped with GM LS1/2/6 (cathedral port) cylinder heads, and will work with OE (original equipment) or aftermarket cylinder heads. Specifically, this intake manifold was made for applications running forced induction (supercharged or turbocharged) and the 105 mm throttle body (part number 112-581) or similar.
When designing the EFI Low-Ram intake, Holley Performance based its data points on a boosted engine that developed peak power in the 7,000 to 8,000 rpm range. The short runner, low-profile base intake manifold intended for forced induction applications was conceived to package with an air to water plenum mounted intercooler with a shorter overall height than possible with other existing intake manifolds.
Here’s a quick rundown of the fuel rail kit included in the Holley Performance EFI Lo-Ram intake manifold (part #s 300-620 and 300-620BLK):
- Two sets of brackets
- One set for long (usually standard length) fuel injectors and
- A second set for short (such as Pico, or LS7) fuel injectors
- Mounting hardware included with ¾”-16 o-ring ports (8 AN)
- High volume fuel rails
Further Holley Performance EFI Lo-Ram intake manifold details include a color availability of either black or satin silver. Additionally, the top mounting flange height sits at 5.17 inches, and the total height of a top-feed plenum configuration is 9.07 inches. The manifolds are currently listed on Holley’s website at $699.95 for black and $679.95 for silver, though you’ll have to wait if you decide to order one, as the estimated ship date is not until May 25th.
