Even in rock-bottom standard guise, the new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 looks great. However, Chevy is offering a long list of optional extras that add tons of styling flair to the mid-engine sports car, including a selection of racing stripes and fenders hash marks. Now, we’re taking a look at each of the 2020 Corvette stripe and hash mark options in the following GM Authority Feature Spotlight.
In total, there are three 2020 Corvette stripe options, and three fenders hash mark options. Each of these six options is available on all trim levels and can be paired with all available paint colors. The 2020 Corvette stripes are offered as RPO equipment, which means they are added to the vehicle at the factory prior to shipment, while the fender hash marks are LPO equipment, which means they are applied by the dealer after the car is shipped.
Pricing for each of the racing stripe packages comes in at $995, while the fender has marks are priced at $245 each.
So, without further ado, here are each of the 2020 Corvette stripe and hash mark packages offered, including their respective RPO code/LPO code in parenthesis:
2020 Corvette Stripe Options
- Carbon Flash Metallic Full Length Dual Racing Stripe Package (DTH)
- Midnight Gray Full Length Dual Racing Stripe Package (DX0)
- Sterling Silver Full Length Dual Racing Stripe Package (DUB)
2020 Corvette Hash Mark Options
- Carbon Flash Metallic with Edge Red accent (SHW)
- Silver with Carbon Flash Metallic accent (SHQ)
- Edge Red with Carbon Flash Metallic (SNG)
Each of the 2020 Corvette stripe options run from front to back in dual parallel bands, including across the roof and into the rear engine lid. The stripes widen across the roof, then narrow towards the front and rear edges.
Meanwhile, the 2020 Corvette fender hash marks are applied to the front fenders and each come with a pair of colors, as well as a crossed flag logo pattern.

Why can’t I get blue and WHITE stripes? Maybe for the Grand Sport? C’mon, GM, blue and white, US racing colors, Grand Sport colors?
No, you already have choices in the interior! A different department does the exterior, -and they didn’t receive any notice about the C-8 being any different than past models as far as stripe selection. LOL.
take to your local “wrap” shop…they will do any hashtag colors you want…and a lot less $$ than GM!!
Whatever you call the rich golden brown color – that is my favorite new Corvette color..
Are the Midnight Gray racing stripes glossy or matte on their surface? I am going to put glossy protective film on the front of a 2021 Corvette and don’t want to have matte striping behind that. One approach (if the stripes are matte) is to add the stripes after the film is installed. Then the question is whether GM will sell the stripes through their parts department.
Have 2020 C8 on order status 3000 prior to covid-19 production stoppage. Mine was going to start be manufactured first part of June. Based on production scheduling will I now be receiving a 2021 model. I want to add carbon fiber spoiler and hash mark trim behind the doors. My dealer and corvette concierge can not or will not tell me anything.
What gives?
The planet is in a massive epidemic and all you are concerned with is what is going on with your C8!
Racing stripes on the C8— ehh! OK I guess. (unless you are actually going into competition)
But fender hash stripes— that’s just gilding the lilly.
If I remember correctly, the front fender hash marks/stripes were only an option on the C7 Grand Sport version, and not the standard Stingray models, to denote a more exclusive model. I guess that’s no longer the case.
I can’t understand the purpose of racing strips or hash marks other than to causing a generous price increase to the car, all to the benefit of the GENERAL and Mother Mary no doubt appreciates that aspect of this option.

Focusing on the C8 and it’s details is a wonderful distraction from the hardship and suffering of the pandemic. I have lost two elderly family members to the virus. My wife and I are over 65, but after 19 Corvettes, dwelling on getting a new C8 is an escape to better times. Whatever joy we can find makes each day a little better.
