GM Launches Online Vehicle Purchasing In Brazil

Facing the new challenges generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, GM has just launched online vehicle purchasing for its Chevrolet brand in Brazil. Thanks to this new procedure, customers who are interested or need to change vehicles now have the possibility of completing their purchase without leaving home.

The new service, called Chevrolet Virtual Operation, allows Brazilians to access special offers available on two of the brand’s websites and to choose from several payment options to negotiate with a sales representative. The assigned expert will then help complete the purchase and the customer will receive the car at home thanks to the support of the more than 500 Chevrolet dealerships in Brazil.

“It is amazing how a pandemic of the magnitude we are facing has the capacity to change our habits in general, including consumption habits. I am sure that we will emerge from this crisis more digitally than ever. We, as consumers, will demand this from the companies and brands with which we relate. The crisis has only accelerated this process,” said Chief Marketing Officer of GM South America, Hermann Mahnke, in a press release.

“The transaction of buying a car is going to be completely digital, and having the possibility of making financing available online is another tremendous step. In times of pandemic, Chevrolet Virtual Operation offers a safe option for our consumers and employees,” the GM regional executive finished.

To carry out the online purchase process, interested parties must visit Chevrolet Brazil’s official website, or www.ofertaschevrolet.com.br, where they will obtain all the information about the products by taking a tour of the virtual showroom, along with the special offers and payment terms. The customer can then complete the purchase process by phone, WhatsApp or email with the assistance of expert consultants.

Depending on the consumer’s location, test drives are also possible. To ensure the health of all involved, both during the test drive and when the vehicle is delivered to the buyer’s home, the assigned sales representative will follow all the legal, safety and sanitization protocols recommended by local authorities.

Among GM’s current promotions, there are special discounts of up to R$11,000 (about $2,000 USD at the current exchange rate) on select in-stock models, as well as various special payment options. Among them is an exclusive financing plan with a minimum deposit of 20% and deferred payments for 120 days.

  1. i’d LOVE to have a little chevy tracker with a manual gear box to run around in
why won’t they sell that in the US? It makes no sense. I feel like it would sell really well.
