While the COVID-19 pandemic is starting to show signs of slowing down and some states are beginning to lift restrictions, many citizens are still stuck at home with little to do.
YouTuber and artist Uros Arsenijevic decided to use his pandemic downtime to do something creative. Using a scale Hot Wheels C7 Corvette, Arsenijevic created a cinematic commercial for Chevrolet from the comfort of his home. The commercial shows the Hot Wheels Vette driving and doing a burnout, and includes close-up shots of the wheels, badge and other aspects of the car.
Asrenijevic shot this entire film on iPhone – impressive given the quality of the video and the crisp, clear close-up shots. Perhaps our favorite part of the video, though, comes at the end when Chevy’s well-known “Find New Roads” slogan flashes across the screen and is followed by “Later.”, encouraging people to stay at home for the time being while COVID-19 community transmission is still prevalent.
“The main message of the project is to encourage people to stay at home, stay safe, and stay creative in the environments they are in,” Arsenijevic told GM Authority in an email.
While the COVID-19 lockdown persists for now, GM is preparing to restart production of the mid-engine C8 Corvette shortly. The automaker is expected to turn the lights back on at Bowling Green Assembly the week of May 18th and restart the production of both the Corvette Coupe and Corvette Convertible shortly thereafter. Perhaps when Chevy restarts the C8 Corvette production line, Asrenijevic can shoot a similar film with a Hot Wheels C8 Corvette celebrating its return.
For now, though, check out his ‘Corvette at Home’ short film embedded just below.

Love it! May as well make the most of it and there is nothing like laughter to help get through the day. Thanks for the share!
This was really well done! Love it!
Remember A Boy’s Dream, I think it was called? A Corvette ad, circa C6 generation I think, and a bunch of mothers complained and got it banned. Very cool ad
