2021 GMC Yukon Denali To Offer Three Optional High-End Packages: Exclusive

The all-new 2021 GMC Yukon represents the fifth generation of the full-size SUV. It delivers a complete overhaul with a long list of enhancements, updates, fresh features, and styling changes. As was the case for prior generations of the Yukon, the Denali will remain the range-topping model, and for this generation, it delivers a unique cockpit. But for those who want to add even more luxury to their 2021 GMC Yukon Denali, GMC will happily offer three optional packages – Denali Deluxe Package, Denali Premium Package, and Denali Ultimate Package.

GM Authority has learned exactly what features the three optional packages include, and how much each will cost.

Denali Deluxe Package

First up is the Denali Deluxe Package. It is the most “affordable” of the optional Denali packages, and includes the following features:

  • Advanced Technology Package:
    • Adaptive Cruise Control
    • Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking
    • Rear Camera Mirror
    • Rear Camera Mirror Washer
    • Advanced Security Package content:
      • Self-powered horn
      • Interior movement sensors
      • Vehicle inclination sensors
      • Glass break sensors in rear quarter glass and liftgate window

  • Wheel locks

The package will add $5,750 to the price of the 2021 Yukon Denali, but that price falls to $3,775 if another set of wheels is chosen. There’s also a package discount that will bring the price down by $500 in some model configurations.

Denali Premium Package

Next on the 2021 GMC Yukon Denali optional package list is the Denali Premium Package, which includes the following content:

  • Advanced Technology Package
    • Adaptive Cruise Control

Finally, the mac daddy of all 2021 GMC Yukon Denali packages is the Denali Ultimate Package. It loads up the truck to the brim with the following features:

This bad boy runs $10,460 for 2WD models or $11,255 for 4WD models. Selecting another set of wheels results in a $1,000 package discount.

2021 GMC Yukon Denali pricing starts at $69,695 for the 2WD model and $72,695 for the 4WD model. The extended-length Yukon Denali XL starts at $72,695 for the 2WD model and $75,395 for the 4WD model. All prices listed include a destination freight charge of $1,295.

  1. GM’s full-size SUV trio looks fantastic. The Denali looks particularly menacing from a head-on vantage (third picture from the top).

Does anyone happen to know what a “self-powered horn” is?

    Reply
    1. It’s a horn that likes to toot its own horn, or perhaps it’s so full of hot air that it don’t need any other kind of power. In other words I have absolutely no idea.

      Reply
    2. Since it’s part of the security package the horn/alarm can still sound if the normal electrical power is disabled.

  2. It’s a Denali, why do you still need to pay extra for adaptive cruise control? Besides that, great stuff.

    1. I was wondering that very thing. Then again, GM charges extra for colors other manufacturers offer with no markup. They have become as greedy as Porsche.

  3. If I could take the grille of the new Denali and put it on the Caddy I could outsell any SUV.

  4. But why and for whom? The Rich? How about working on lowering the price and selling more Denali’s and/or improving the gas mileage. How does the average middle class person buy or lease an SUV if the interest rate is at 4% and depletes their savings for a down payment to have a low monthly payment. I’d like to own this SUV but can’t afford the monthly payment for the sale or the lease. Who is buying or leasing these SUV’s today? How is it even possible? They aren’t perfect vehicles….

    1. It’s the premium factor unfortunately. Mega wealthy saudis and walstreeters want a vehicle only they can afford. The suburban LS and regular Yukon starts at only 40k, So it is reachable for middle class Americans (freakin ford explorers these days reach into the 50k Easy) middle class America’s can still afford base Yukon’s, but I agree the Denali is strictly and over priced rich mans affair these days to go along side porches. What ever happened to working class pride?

    2. Well there are obviously lots of people buying these or GM would not be making them. As to being affordable, you don’t have to buy a fully loaded Denali version. They make base models for those who want into a vehicle at a lower price, or for those who just don’t care about all the extras.

      1. Base models are still too highly priced for the average person. Above the $40,000 Threshold, it becomes financially unwise for many buyers.

    3. Hit the used car lot, lol. You could get a base Yukon, Acadia, Sierra Crew Cab, it’s for people who can afford it.

  5. Current Yukon SLT can have adaptive cruise control. 2021 can only option for Denali, not event AT4..

  6. So you could be heading into the upper $80k’s and still not have full digital gauges. Which can be found on a VW Jetta. If GM thinks that’s a feature to reserve for only the Escalade, they don’t know what’s going on in the rest of the industry. Otherwise, I’m glad they’re trying to pack in more features.

    1. Digital gauges are highly overrated

    2. i know this is outdated & im late to this party but these are my exact thoughts.. thought i was being a brat. my 07 NNBS yukon denali’s gen 1 6L80 just finally threw in the towel & i’d been eyeing this for a while now…since the 21s came out… have been between the 21 ultimate or the 23 denali…. due to my financial abilities…. one of my main hold ups in just going with the 21 due to the $40K price difference & nearly identical similarities is the lack of the digital dash…. why??? on the window sticker, its advertised as if it is a premium feature to have analog speedo & tach… a damn corolla has a digital dash…. not understanding the justification to have forgone that option in these trucks…. nearly everything else is perfect… thats a major sore spot for me…. but the fact that the interiors are basically identical – with regards to the dash at least – i could, technically, update to a digi dash… shouldnt have to… but thats a feature i wanted & was hard pressed to give up. but price is a factor… i went with the 21 ultimate today. summit white with jet black interior… im not mad about it but a little disappointed. but then again, my is looking more like a geo tracker today parked next to the 21.

  7. This post makes me wonder one big question what does a Denali offer over the base model vehicles. In the past GM used to tell us it was body cladding, it was a special leather, it was unique center consoles, it was a unique grill, it was a power upgrade, it was added sound deadening, it was upgraded suspensions, more technology, better lighting… something… now they don’t tell us they just make you pay for all these benefits on top of an exorbitantly higher cost vehicle from the GetGo!

  8. Regardless of optional packages, GMC will not have trouble moving them off the lots like the current model.

For people who is complaining about the vehicle not being attainable; get an extra job, start a new career or work for yourself. It’s not like this vehicle is priced like a Rolls or Bentley for heavens sake.

  9. Just ordered mine last week, cannot wait for it to arrive (December). I have always loved the Denali trims and decided why not go for it, i love the new redesign.. besides my kids are getting to big for my Acadia now.

  10. Affordability of all NEW vehicles is now an oxymoron. The majority of new vehicles are beyond the affordable range for the average income buyer. Such a shame. But, we need to get one thing straight in our heads. Having a brand new vehicle isn’t a birthright. It is a rare treat. I tend to purchase a slightly used vehicle (1-2 years Old) as it can be more affordable. Get your financing from a credit union. That way, the interest rate is almost 1/2 of regular banks and automobile makers.

What are your thoughts on this approach?

  11. If U first drove a new GMC non-Denali then, took out a Denali, U’d have a tough time taking the non Denali home and being excited about it. Further, jump in a Ford or Mopar after driving a Denali. Unless you R a long-time buyer of the Ford or Mopar, there is NO WAY U’d be happy with them.

    Just say in’!!
