The online configurator for the 2021 GMC Yukon is now live, allowing prospective customers to see how the different exterior and interior colors ook on the new full-size SUV, along with the various wheel options and equipment packages.
The 2021 GMC Yukon will be offered in two trim levels: SLT and range-topping Denali. Our example vehicle pictured here is a Denali trim level painted in Hunter Metallic (a $495 add-on) with a Dark Walnut/Ash Gray interior and optional 22-inch Black Gloss wheels with Chrome Inserts ($2,995). We also added the optional Premium Package ($4,525), which adds the following:
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking
- Rear Camera Mirror
- Rear Camera Mirror Washer
- Advanced Technology Package content
- Panoramic power sunroof
- Power-retractable assist steps with illuminated perimeter lighting
- 22″ bright machined aluminum wheels with premium paint
- Wheel locks
We ticked the box for the available Rear Seat Media System ($1,995) as well, which adds dual 12.6-inch diagonal color-touch LCD HD rear screens mounted to the front seatbacks. All told, our very well-appointed SUV comes in at $79,705 with destination – a rather big jump from the $59,095 base price of the Yukon SLT. The Denali trim without any add-ons costs $68,400, for reference.
The configurator is also live for the larger GMC Yukon XL, but GMC’s website indicates the Yukon XL will have late availability for the 2021 model year, so it may be a while longer before we see it at dealers.
For those readers who may need a reminder, the 2021 GMC Yukon SLT is powered by a 5.3L L84 V8 engine producing 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The Denali, meanwhile, comes with a 6.2L L87 V8 producing 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are paired with the GM 10-speed automatic transmission. The 3.0L LM2 inline-six turbodiesel is available as an option, but it is not currently listed in the configurator, so it may also be late availability for the 2021 model year.

I don’t know why you’re complaining the current Yukon Denali well-equipped is 80 grand
Any idea why the SLE trim level is not available in the configurator?
I now see that the SLE trim is not offered for 2021. I hope it will be in the future.
New information has surfaced, the SLE will be available 3 months after the start of regular production. SORP starts mid-June.
