The Chevrolet Bel Air exudes classic cool from every angle, and this custom 1957 restomod convertible is certainly no exception. Now, this gorgeous slab of Americana metal is up for sale.
As the recipient of a complete rotisserie restoration, this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible is a stunning thing to behold, with a rich two-stage paint job that’s been polished to a mirror finish. The exterior sports a number of eye-catching details, including Fuel Injection emblems and chromed trim bits, while the droptop rides on custom 18- and 20-inch Billet Specialities wheels. The rollers are wrapped in 245/40ZR18 Nitto Invo tires in front, and 295/35ZR20 Nitto Invos in back.
Critically, this Chevrolet Bel Air draws motivation from the sixth-generation Chevrolet Corvette Z06 with the 7.0L LS7 V8 engine. Highlights include a forged crank, titanium rods, CNC-ported cylinder heads, and titanium valves, with an 11:1 compression ratio. The engine inhales through a polished Spectre air intake, and exhales through a set of long-tube headers and Magnaflow mufflers.
Final output figures are set at 501 horsepower and 478 pound-feet of torque at the rear wheels, as verified on the dyno. The Chevrolet Bel Air’s LS7 looks fantastic as well, rocking a red engine cover, plus polished treatment for the A/C compressor and PRC radiator.
The ‘eight feeds a Tremec six-speed manual transmission with a hydraulic clutch, which connects to a Ford nine-inch rear end.
Under the skin is a powder-coated Art Morrison chassis, plus adjustable coilovers, a four-link rear suspension setup, and power rack-and-pinion steering. Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes throw the anchor.
Unsurprisingly, the cabin is a feast for the eyes, with red leather upholstery everywhere. A set of custom bucket seats and power adjustment provide the backside coddling, and there’s a set of Classic Instruments gauges keeping tabs on vitals. Vintage Air A/C keeps things cool.
All told, this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible restomod impresses, but all that goodness doesn’t come cheap. Interested buyers will find it listed by RK Motors Charlotte at $229,900.
