The massive Chevrolet Silverado Medium Duty lineup, which consists of the Class 4 Silverado 4500HD, Class 5Â Silverado 5500HD and Class 6 Silverado 6500HD, are aimed at fleet buyers who will frequently be towing heavy trailers or hauling heavy loads. These trucks, engineered by General Motors in partnership with Navistar, are used as the basis for dump trucks, tow trucks and other heavy-duty service vehicles.
Now Fort Worth, Texas-based company Western Haulers has put its own spin on the Class 4 Chevrolet Silverado 4500HD. Western Haulers builds custom heavy and medium-duty trucks intended for towing large trailers, upgrading the trucks with a multi-purpose bed, headache rack, side rails, new cargo tie-downs, mud flaps, custom toolboxes and more.
Western Haulers already offered a custom-built version of the Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD, but it’s now applied its towing expertise to the newer and bigger Silverado 4500HD. In addition to the aforementioned upgrades, this truck is offered with some optional extras such as an auxiliary 94-gallon fuel tank, a radar detector, C.B. radio, trailering cameras and window tint.
Western Haulers’ trucks are also available with some luxurious interior upgrades for those buyers who frequently find themselves hauling trailers over long distances. These include woodgrain dash and steering wheel trim, two different rear-seat entertainment systems and insulated carpeted floor mats. Buyers can also specify custom exterior paint.
Western Haulers does not list the price of its custom Chevrolet Silverado 4500HD, so any readers who may be interested in the truck should reach out to the company directly. Pricing for the regular Silverado Medium Duty chassis cab model starts at $48,465 in the United States.

Ditch the woodgrain.
I would like to see a GMC DENALI version of this truck – IF – GM will build one.
Yes, need GMC Denali version.
[email protected] I think that the wood looks great keep it
woodgrain adds a touch of class, but I would also like to see it in chrome as well.
How about a sleeper version
It says these are built from the Chevy 4500. Denali is GMC, so not likely to be done.
