The Hummer H2 was a staple of rap videos and custom car magazines in the early-to-mid 2000s. Around this time, the now-iconic H2 was usually seen rocking a set of huge chrome wheels along with other modifications of questionable taste, such as butterfly doors and lowered suspension.
Some Russian automotive YouTubers recently acquired a Hummer H2 and decided that instead of putting it on massive 28-inch wheels, they’d go the opposite direction and try to put the tiniest wheels they could find on the hulking Hummer.
The first step in this process was to acquire a set of 13-inch wheels and tires, but as one may expect, these wheels wouldn’t bolt right on. To remedy this, the mechanics went about tracing the Hummer’s eight-lug rim pattern and applying the stencil to the 13-inch wheels. This allowed them to cut out an eight-lug pattern on the 13-inch steelies and eventually fit them to the H2.
Despite this rather hasty DIY process, the rims fit right onto the Hummer without issue and actually hold up pretty well while out on the road. The presenter says he even took the vehicle up to 50 mph to see how the wheels would fare, but he didn’t want to risk pushing the heavy Hummer H2 all the way to 60 mph for rather obvious reasons. For his safety and the safety of those on the road around him, we’re glad to hear this.
While the wheels worked on the Hummer H2 surprisingly well, there’s one small problem with this project: the presenter says he isn’t sure if he’ll be able to fit a jack underneath the car to raise it back up to take the 13-inch wheels off. Hope he has a car lift handy!

I like this as art.
The big, powerful Hummer with dangerously small wheels is a visual representation of what happens when some capitalistic principles are encountered by a Soviet mindset.
On the flip side, it could also be seen as what happens if old Soviet ideals are applied to a capitalistic society.
It’s both amusing and disturbing at the same time.
WOW, this looks safe.
I never thought I would use the words plasma cutter and hack in the same sentence? 😖
Proof positive that as some needn’t play with knives, others should refrain from handling a plasma cutter or any tool for that matter!
Dude’s going to rack up a ton of miles that he didn’t even drive, and risks over revving the engine.
Wheel circumference is way smaller than stock.
Oh well, ugly is as ugly does.
It was just for fun. He didn’t even take in on the road.
