Holley LS Fest West Moved To June, Will Be Held Under The Lights At Las Vegas Motor Speedway

The organizers for Holley LS Fest West have been forced to move the event to June due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

LS Fest West was originally set to be held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway the weekend of May 5th to May 7th, but it has now been pushed back to the weekend of June 12th to 14th. It will still be held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, but to help attendees escape the summer heat, it will now be held at night under the speedway’s bright stadium lights.

“It was clear that LS Fest attendees didn’t want us to give up on the event and we certainly didn’t want to give up on them. They love the event and we love them for it,” said Bill Tichenor, Holley’s director of marketing and creator of LS Fest West. “Vegas is open 24-7, so we figured LS Fest could be as well. It’s going to be radical. We’re coming to party!”

LS Fest West says all currently registered participants and spectators that had tickets for the May date will be able to carry them over to the new date. Those who were registered but are unable to attend on the new date will receive a full refund.

Holley LS Fest is a celebration of everything and all things to do with the General Motors LS V8 engine family. The event aimed at 1997 or later LS or LT V8 powered vehicles, though it attracts all types of vehicles with LS swaps, from imports to street rods, trucks, muscle cars and everything in between. The event includes drag racing, autocross, off-roading challenges, and a show n’ shine car show.

More information on the revised LS Fest West event is available via the event’s website.

  1. This is an activity that will lose participation as the industry changes from gasoline engine to electric motors. It will become as old as horse riding events soon. And if the oil prices return to high levels, the event will be too expensive to run.
