For the month of April 2020, a new GMC Canyon discount drops the price of select models by $2,750. Additionally, this offer is available to all buyers, and is not restricted to current eligible non-GM owners (or current competitive owners) or lessees, nor is it only available to loyal/current GM owners.
The nationwide GMC Canyon discount offer for the midsize pickup truck during the month of April 2020 is as follows:
- Featured Retail Offer: $2,750 customer cash
- Excludes SL trim level
- Featured Finance Offer: 0 percent APR for 72 months
- Excludes SL trim level
Interested parties should note that the aforementioned GMC Canyon discount offers will run through April 30th, 2020. Additionally, buyers should take note of the model restrictions for each offer.
Furthermore, until June 30th, 2020, General Motors is also offering special vehicle discounts for first responders and healthcare workers on the frontlines of the battle against the COVID-19 coronavirus.
For reference, the price of each trim level of the 2020 Canyon, including the $1,095 destination charge, is as follows:
- SL – $23,295 (excluded from this month’s incentive offers)
- Base – $26,795
- SLE – $30,195
- SLT – $36,995
- All Terrain – $37,695
- Denali – $41,595
It’s worth noting that this month’s offer is much less generous than the 16 percent discount offered in December or the 14 percent discount offered in November, which was similar to the offer in October and in September. Even the $4,000 in January was more worthwhile than April’s featured discount.
As mentioned, buyers may be relieved that this month’s incentives are no longer restricted to loyal or competitive owners. While loyalty incentives have been well received, conquest offers have been problematic in the past.
- Must take delivery by April 30th, 2020.
- See dealer for details.
- Incentive for the United States of America, unless otherwise specified.
- Some customers may not qualify for this GMC Canyon discount offer.
- Offer not available with special finance, lease, and some other offers.
We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information about the vehicles and their incentives in question, but errors and misprints can happen. In addition, the manufacturer can change incentive information at any time and without notice. Always consult with your dealer regarding color availability information before making purchase decisions. GM Authority will not be held responsible for any misprints, typos or any other errors.
About GMC Canyon
The GMC Canyon is a mid-size pickup truck marketed by GM's GMC brand. It is currently GMC's smallest pickup truck, slotting under the full-size GMC Sierra. The current model was introduced in 2015 and represents the second generation of the Canyon nameplate. It rides on the GMT-31XX platform shared with the Chevy Colorado, as well as the international-market Chevrolet Colorado/S10 and Chevrolet Trailblazer. As of September 2018, the GMC Canyon is offered only in the United States and Canada; it is not offered in the two other markets in which GMC does business - Mexico and the Middle East.
The 2018 GMC Canyon represents the fourth model year of the second-generation Canyon. The vehicle remains highly competitive in its segment, offering two gasoline engines and a diesel motor, which is a segment exclusive. As opposed to its Chevy-badged brother, the Chevy Colorado, the Canyon does not offer an off-road-specific model like the Colorado ZR2. However, the Canyon does offer a luxury-focused Canyon Denali model. Some of the biggest criticisms of the second-gen Canyon include a lack of various desired features wanted by many present and potential customers, including a moonroof, a sliding rear window, and an extreme offroad model.
The 2019 GMC Canyon represents the fifth model year of the second-generation Canyon. The vehicle sees new exterior colors and a new set of bright silver 17-inch wheels on the SLE model. Additionally, the 2019 Canyon gets new set of infotainment systems that represent the third generation of GMC infotainment systems, a second in-cabin microphone for the front passenger, a high-definition Rear Vision Camera on some models, UltraSonic Rear Park Assist, a heated steering wheel on SLT and All Terrain models, and 6-way power driver seat on some models. There's also a rearrangement of USB ports in the front and back.
A midcycle refresh for the 2020 model year is expected to bring revised front and rear styling along with interior and powertrain updates. There's also the expected introduction of the Canyon AT4 to replace the Canyon All Terrain. The GMC Canyon is built at the GM Wentzville factory in Missouri operated by GM USA.
