Five Pontiac Solstice Coupes For Sale At A Kia Dealer In Connecticut

This week, we spotted the one and only Pontiac Banshee coupe for sale at Napoli Kia in Connecticut. We were a bit surprised to see this ultra-rare Pontiac for sale at a Kia dealer of all places, but it seems this particular retailer has a bit of a proclivity for the defunct General Motors brand.

Also for sale at the exact same Kia dealer are five Pontiac Solstice Coupes. While not nearly as rare as the Banshee, the Solstice Coupe is still fairly uncommon, so it’s a bit surprising to see five of them for sale at one dealership.

Furthermore, two of the Solstice Coupes for sale at the dealership are GXP performance models. The Solstice GXP benefitted from a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine, which produced a healthy 260 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This made it quite a bit faster than the standard Solstice, which featured a naturally aspirated 2.4L four-cylinder making 177 horsepower and 166 pound-feet.

One of the Solstice GXPs in question has barely been driven, as well. While the Summit White model shows 36,612 miles on the odometer, the black model has just 14 miles on it. It’s not clear what the dealer wants for either of the GXPs, as their prices aren’t listed on its website.

We can’t imagine Napoli Kia will be letting either of the GXP models go for cheap, as the non-GXP models it has on hand are quite expensive. It’s hoping to get $32,490 for the Ruby Red example, while the Black example is listed at $34,490. The third Victory Red painted car’s price is also undisclosed.

All five of the Pontiac Solstice Coupes the dealer has on hand are automatics as well. While some people would rather not shift their own gears, a sporty car like the Solstice is much more fun with three pedals and a stick, in our opinion.

The Solstice Coupes aren’t the only unique Pontiac vehicles Napoli Kia has on hand right now, either. The dealer also has two first-generation Pontiac Firebirds in stock, a 1967 Pontiac GTO, a 1968 Pontiac GTO, a 1966 Pontiac Le Mans, a 1976 Pontiac Grand Prix and a 1977 Pontiac Le Mans. This Kia dealer has more Pontiac stock than most GM dealers, it would seem.

  1. Those Pontiacs are the best cars on a Kia lot.

  2. The dealership was once a Pontiac franchise, and the owner also owns a classic car dealership, hence all of the Pontiacs…

  3. i’d love to have one those Soltice coupes but they are asking more than i’m willing to pay. Seems the solstice and sky are starting to grow in value faster than expected.

  4. To bad GM didn’t put much effort into these cars. Everyday the S2000 legend grows while these are forgotten.

  5. How ironic that a Kia dealer has more interest in a historical GM division than GM itself or any of it’s dealers. We used to have a Chevy dealer about 40 miles away that used to have a nice healthy selection of Vettes and Camaro’s and SS sedans, GTO’s and the occasional Impala SS or Monte SS. It was obvious the owners was an enthusiast. It’s really sad that seems to have gone by the wayside.
