The GM Authority Take

Despite the unfavorable conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Chevrolet Korea sales increased significantly in March. In fact, the 8,965 units sold last month represent Chevrolet‘s best sales performance in South Korea in the past three years. It also represents the brand’s second month of sales volume growth thus far during the 2020 calendar year, after an 8 percent increase in January. This, in turn, had a positive impact on first quarter sales figures, which saw a healthy increase of 14 percent.

The positive performance in March is thanks to the all-new Chevrolet Trailblazer, which delivered 3,187 units in its first complete month on sale, displacing the Spark as the brand’s best-selling model in the South Korean market. As a result, Chevy’s new subcompact-plus crossover becomes one of the best-selling models in its segment in South Korea.

It’s also worth noting that the Traverse achieved its best sales performance to date in South Korea=, becoming the market’s most popular imported full-size crossover.
