Chevrolet Corvette Discount Totals $3,250 In April 2020

With the launch of the all-new mid-engine Corvette C8, Chevy had some customers canceling orders of the current-generation model. The automaker responded by offering a nearly-$9,000 discount in February, which was a bit less generous than the $12,000 discount offered in December 2019.
Offers for the Corvette have since become much less worthwhile, with this month’s featured offer discounting 2019 Corvette models by as much as $3,250. In addition to the headlining incentive, Chevy is also offering interest-free financing for all 2019 Corvette models.
The Incentives
Nationwide 2019 Chevrolet Corvette discount offers in April 2020 are as follows:
- Retail Offer: $3,250 cash allowance
- Finance Offer: 0 percent APR for 84 months when borrowing from GM Financial
- Deferred payments for 120 days available
Notably, the above incentives should apply to any 2019 Corvette, including the Stingray, Stingray Z51, Grand Sport, Z06, and ZR1. We recommend checking in with your local dealer for confirmation.
For reference, here are 2019 Corvette trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, $1,095 destination freight charge included:
- Stingray 1LT – $56,995
- Stingray 2LT – $61,450
- Stingray 1LT w/ Z51 – $61,995
- Stingray 2LT w/ Z51 – $66,450
- Stingray 3LT – $66,740
- Stingray 3LT w/ Z51 – $71,740
- Grand Sport 1LT – $66,995
- Grand Sport 2LT – $71,450
- Grand Sport 3LT – $76,740
- Z06 1LZ – $81,995
- Z06 2LZ – $85,560
- Z06 3LZ – $90,940
- ZR1 1ZR – $121,995
- ZR1 3ZR – $131,995
As such, the headline-making Corvette discount offer lowers the starting price of the 2019 C7 model to $53,745.
The relatively lackluster Chevrolet Corvette discount comes after very generous incentives, which are a rare occurrence for the nameplate, as the Bow Tie brand seldom offers cash-based discounts on the sports car. It’s rather obvious that the purpose of those offers was to get shoppers who are on the fence about buying a C7, or waiting for the upcoming 2020 Corvette, to go for the C7. The all-new, mid-engine Corvette (aka the Corvette C8) was revealed on July 18th, and production started in February. Meanwhile, dealer inventories of the C7 Corvette are shrinking.

About Chevrolet Corvette
The Chevrolet Corvette is a lineup of sports cars sold globally. Slotting above the Chevrolet Camaro as Chevrolet's flagship sports car, the Corvette lineup consists of the "base" Corvette Stingray, mid-level Corvette Grand Sport, Corvette Z06 and range-topping Corvette ZR1.
The 2018 Corvette represents the fifth model year of the seventh-generation (or C7) Corvette. Despite its age, the vehicles remains highly competitive in its segment. For the 2019 model year, the Corvette discontinues the Carbon 65 Edition while gaining the 2019 Corvette ZR1 in Coupe and Convertible forms, along with two new colors - Elkart Lake Blue Metallic and Shadow Gray Metallic.
Chevrolet is working on a next-, eighth-generation Corvette. The model is expected to be mid-, rear-engined, allowing it to push the performance envelope even further that the C7. See more on the rumored mid-engine Corvette. Though it was previously believed that the C7 generation will be discontinued when the mid-engined model is introduced, we now have reason to believe that the model will continue being offered alongside the mid-engined model.
The Corvette is built exclusively at the GM Bowling Green plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky, USA.

Chevrolet would have been smart to slow production and make sure all 2019 C7 where sold before the 2020 C8 release date. Personally I would buy the C7 over the C8 for investment reason it being the last of the front engine Corvette/ Stingray which is another story of its own Chevrolet should have kept the Corvette model as the front engine & let the Stingray/ Sting Ray be the rear engine model that would have added to the Brand. Either way with the rebates it’s a better buy than the Camaro all day long.
Yeah, we’ve been over this before: a Corvette “family” of vehicles isn’t a bad idea, and there’s room for both a front-engine and a mid-engine car. Alas, that’s not where we are today.
PS: they’re still making money on the C7, despite these discounts.
One has to think that we won’t see an article where a Chevrolet dealership in the mid-west has a 2020 C7 Corvette with under 500 miles on the odometer for sale like the Cadillac dealership that still has an older new XTS for sale.
