2021 Chevrolet Corvette To Get Two New Interior Color Combinations

Although the very first examples of the all-new Chevrolet Corvette C8 are only now being delivered to customers, the second model year for the mid-engine sports car isn’t too far behind. That much is evidenced by the new 2021 Chevrolet Corvette Order Guide summary that recently leaked online, listing a number of upcoming changes for the C8, including new interior color combinations.

According to the leak, the top-of-the-line 3LT trim level will get a revised interior color combination lineup, adding Leather Jet Black with Sky Cool Gray seats (RPO code HT7), and Sky Cool Gray seats with Strike Yellow Suede trim (RPO code HFC).

To note, the current 2020 Corvette C8 does not offer Strike Yellow in any of the available interior color combinations. That said, the 2020 Vette does offer Jet Black leather with Sky Cool Gray seats, but only as a Custom build option. As such, it’s likely that the change to the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette will get Jet Black with Sky Cool Gray seats as one of the Recommended color combos instead.

In addition to the interior trim changes, the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette will also come with new all-weather floor liners from WeatherTech. The new liners will carry the iconic “Jake” logo, making them ideal for those Corvette owners who anticipate using their sports cars in the real world, but don’t want to mess up the interior with dirty footwear.

As we covered previously, the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette is also slated to receive new paint and racing stripe options, as well as a new aesthetics package that takes inspiration from the race-spec Corvette C8.R.

Odds are that a number of other changes will also make its way to the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette, so make sure to stay tuned as we cover them all in detail. AUTOMAKERS RUNNING OUT OF CASH
Automakers are really starting to get worried and are going into survival mode. Deutsche Bank estimates that GM and Ford only have 15 to 17 weeks of cash left before they hit the minimum amount of cash needed to run their businesses. In other words, they’ll run out of liquidity by the end of July. Even though Deutsche Bank singled out GM and Ford, it’s a problem that all automakers face. Tesla is cutting executive salaries 20%, everyone else gets a 10% cut, and temp workers are getting laid off with no pay. Nissan is trying to get a $4.6 billion loan from Japanese banks.

  8. Having driven the 2021 C8 I find issues that should be addressed. The engine is strong and has a nice raspy sound. The dual clutch automatic is too rough a shift especially at low RPM. Ergonomically the design is terrible. One plug in for radar detector under passenger dash is ridiculous. No where to place hand that’s comfortable. Most annoying is the camera built into rear view mirror. It became a dizzying experience. The GT2 Bucket seats on the 2lt package where painful and I am not a big guy. Overall appearance STUNNING. But you don’t drive the appearance. Back to the drawing board Chevy.
