The GM Authority Take

After suffering a stumble in the month of January, Chevrolet Brazil sales again registered a positive result, with a slight increase in February. Although eight of the twelve vehicles offered in the country saw significant drops in sales volume, GM‘s volume brand managed to avoid a second consecutive month of contraction thanks to significant double-digit increases posted by three models.

As is typically the case, the Chevrolet Onix played a leading role in last month’s figures in Brazil, registering a large increase of 46 percent – the highest growth rate of the vehicle since the introduction of the second generation model. In fact, the 26,775 units of the Onix delivered in February exceeded the amount of the first month of the year despite having two fewer sales days. In addition, Spin and Tracker (Trax) also posted growth in sales volume, with 41 and 11 percent respectively.
