The GM Authority Take
January was the sixth consecutive month that Cadillac Korea sales registered a significant double-digit decline. However, the decline in January was particularly significant: not only does it represent the largest of all the contractions that Cadillac has suffered in the last six months, but the 48 deliveries also represent the lowest monthly sales figure that the brand has seen in the last four years in the Korean market.
Although all models suffered significant drops in sales volumes, the Cadillac CT6 continues to be primarily responsible for the negative performance of Cadillac Korea sales. As such, the prestigious sedan registered the most significant drop of 77 percent, selling 56 units less than in January 2019. Likewise, the rest of the model range also saw significant double-digit contractions.
It is expected that in the coming months, the new Cadillac XT4 and XT6 will finally be introduced in South Korea. The same goes for the refreshed Cadillac XT5. None of these crossovers have reached the South Korean market as of this writing, but their arrival will likely reverse the negative commercial trajectory that Cadillac Korea sales are currently facing.

Comments
As a result of the collaboration between stupid Korean Cadillac executives and stupid Korean gm cesar W toledo, Korea’s Cadillac is losing its status as a luxury car due to the uncertainty of the future, unreasonable price discounts of dealers that do not meet the conditions, and consumers’ disregard.
It looks to me it’s not worth selling Cadillac’s in S Korea.
And after Opel in Europe and Holden in Australia, Korea will be next to close…
