Competitive Sales Comparison
Buick Envision sales during the fourth quarter of 2019 were overtaken by a German rival – the Audi Q3, which is an all-new model that is now coming into the prime of its launch cadence. Leading the pack are the Lexus NX in first place and Acura RDX in second, followed by the aforementioned Audi Q3 in third and the Envision’s corporate cousin – the Cadillac XT4 (see Cadillac XT4 sales) in fourth. The Envision followed the XT4 in fifth place in its competitive set.
The Envision managed to outsell the rest of its competitors, including the BMW X1 and X2, the all-new 2020 Lincoln Corsair, which replaces the now-discontinued Lincoln MKC, as well as the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class, Volvo XC40, and Infiniti QX30.

The GM Authority Take
The growth in Buick Envision sales is great news after rather disappointing sales results at the start of 2019. Interestingly, the 40 day-long UAW labor strike didn’t cause a decline in sales of the Envision, which is assembled in China.
We primarily attribute the rebound in Buick Envision sales to the ongoing 16 percent discount that the Tri-Shield brand had been offering on the vehicle throughout most of 2019. In fact, during the month of December, Buick actually increased its discount offer for the Envision to 17 percent.
Going forward, the Envision is due for a refresh later this year, which was recently announced for the Chinese market. In addition, GM is working on another Buick crossover derived from the Cadillac XT4, as GM Authority was first to report. The model will likely be called Buick Enspire and is expected to launch some time in the 2020 or 2021 calendar years.

About Buick Envision
The Buick Envision is a compact crossover that slots above the subcompact Buick Encore and below the full-size Buick Enclave. The current, first-generation Envision was introduced for the 2016 model year. The vehicle is based on a variant of the GM D2 platform shared with the second-generation GMC Terrain, Chevrolet Cruze, and Chevrolet Volt.
The Envision launched with a relatively steep starting price of $42,995 in 2016, since it was available only in the two highest trim levels and with the most potent turbo 2.0L LTG engine. The 2017 model introduced several lower-end trim levels, enabling the starting price to drop to $34,990. The 2018 model goes unchanged from the 2017 model.
The 2019 Envision received a midcycle refresh that includes a significant amount of changes, including new headlights and front grille, the new GM 9-speed automatic transmission on Premium models, new exterior colors and interior color combinations, reconfiguring the exhaust pipe on non-Premium models to be turned under the vehicle, new taillights, new wheel choices, the replacement of Ice Blue ambient lighting with White, and the addition of three new technologies -  an ionizing air cleaner, Tire Fill Alert, and wireless cell phone charging. There's also the removal of the Buick script from the rear of the vehicle.
The 2020 Envision will receive two new exterior colors, at the expense of two existing ones.
The Buick Envision is built exclusively at the GM Dong Yue factory operated by GM China and SAIC for global markets

We tried this and a Terrain.
This was more quiet, but had a hard time putting on the seat belts because the center console is to wide
I do not see all that many Envisions in the area where I live- north New Jersey. Perhaps it was due to the cost when first introduced and that it is made in China. I do not mind that but I do wish that it could be built here in the US. If sales jumped way up perhaps GM would consider that. Now that Corona is around I would guess that the supply of Envisions will decrease because of shut downs of the assembly line. If Buick could price it right I think that sales would increase. LOL extra for colors than white – I am old enough to remember when there was a variety offered at n/c . The cost is not all that much but then
again anyway they can to squeeze an extra dollar out of the consumer.
build it in AMERICA and now it has the flu
