2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer Configurator Now Live

The 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer made its big North American debut at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show last November, resurrecting the Bow Tie brand nameplate as a new subcompact crossover. Now, interested buyers and digital window shoppers can spec theirs as they see fit thanks to the Trailblazer online configurator.

As we exclusively covered back in December, buyers have five trim levels to choose from, starting with the base-level L, and followed by the LS and the LT. The 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer range is topped by the outdoorsy Activ and sporty RS. Starting prices slot in at $19,995 for the base-model L with FWD, and range up to $27,895 for the Activ and RS with AWD.

Engine options include GM’s new turbocharged 1.2L LIH three-cylinder gas engine, which produces 137 horsepower and 166 pound-feet of torque, as well as the turbocharged 1.3L L3T three-cylinder, which produces 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. A CVT is standard on models equipped with FWD, while models with AWD and the 1.3L engine option pair up with the GM nine-speed automatic transmission.

Standout options for the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer include a two-tone paint scheme, the Driver Confidence Package, the Convenience Package, and the Technology Package. The Driver Confidence Package includes features like Rear Park Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, the Convenience Package includes features like Automatic Climate Control and illuminated vanity mirrors, and the Technology Package includes features like SiriusXM radio and wireless device charging.

Buyers can also opt into things like LED headlamps, a panoramic power sunroof, and a hands-free liftgate with LED logo projection.

Inside, The 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer offers a seven-inch infotainment screen as standard, while an eight-screen is offered on select trim levels. Other goodies include a leather-wrapped steering wheel and 4.2-inch diagonal Driver Information Center.

  1. Live to dream.. the little 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer equipped with Cadillac’s 2.0L four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that is good for 170 horsepower and a healthy 280 pound-feet of torque; you could have fun while being economical at the same time.

    1. Here’s the models so far for the US market ,
      L base powered by 1.2 L (FWD)
LS. Powered by 1.2 L (FWD) or 1.3L (AWD)
LT. Powered by 1.2 L (FWD) or 1.3L (AWD)
Activ. Powered by 1.2 L (FWD) or 1.3L (AWD)
RS. Powered by 1.2 L (FWD) or 1.3L (AWD)
      1.2 L. https://gmauthority.com/blog/gm/gm-engines/lih/
      1.3 L https://gmauthority.com/blog/gm/gm-engines/l3t/
Here are some suggestions for next year. Granted, at this time it’s not known what the dimensions are under the hood (bonnet) but, here’s what I’d like to see in future models.
      RST. Powered by a 1.5 L (LFV) or 1.6 L (LWC) AWD
SS Powered by a 2.0 L (LSY) AWD
( Buick Encore GXT and GMC Typhoon)
These would require suspension stiffing to different degrees, and some interior upgrades to match.

  2. What’s Chevrolet’s plan for the Trax? According to its website, the Trax’s starting price is$2,300 more than that of the Trailblazer, but the former has 44 cubic feet of cargo space and the Trailblazer has 54 cubic feet. The Trailblazer is an overall larger vehicle. I assume GM will slowly phase out the Trax with the hope that those buyers will crossover to the Trailblazer?

  3. I’m confused on the dimensions for the Trailblazer vs. the Encore GX. I thought they were the exact same size.

Wheelbase for the GX is 102.2, rear legroom is 36.0
Wheelbase for the Trailblazer is 103.9, rear legroom is 39.4

    1. Maybe you should read or use the configurator. It comes in different colors.

  5. If I were shopping a small crossover like this, I’m torn between the LS and the Activ. I don’t really want the white-tone roof or price on the Activ, but I do want the general look and the “off-road suspension” mentioned in the feature list. Even though I know it won’t be a real “off-roader,” it’d just be nice to have. On the other hand, there’s the thought that the LS can be so smartly equipped for much less, and still with AWD… If I were really looking for another “economy vehicle,” this offers plenty. Better than the Trax, and a good replacement for the Cruze.
