Street Hunter Designs Renders Widebody C8 Corvette

In the move to a new mid-engine platform, the C8 Corvette looks quite a bit different from the generation that came before it. This is particularly noticeable in the 2020 Corvette’s proportions, which are far more balanced front-to-back when compared to the nose-heavy extended hoodline of the C7. It’s a good-looking vehicle, and now, Street Hunter Designs has reimagined the C8’s style with a new widebody kit rendering.

Recently posted to social media by Instagram user @tjhunt_, there are four images of the Street Hunter Designs widebody C8 Corvette from various angles. The look is hugely aggressive, with ultra-wide rubber tucked under extended fenders and a massive GT-style wing on the rear lid. The wheels are multi-spoke, deep-dish units that give it a motorsport kind of vibe. The suspension is also slammed to the ground.

“Once we take delivery of our C8 we can get 100 percent scans of the car and get to work immediately,” writes @tjhunt_. “Our whole team at Street Hunter has been busting their asses and none of this would have been possible without them.”

“P.S.,” he adds, “for those questioning why certain things are the way they are… this is on V1.”

Indeed, this is likely just the tip of the iceberg with regard to modifications for the new C8 Corvette. Production of the new mid-engine sports car is underway now following delays incurred during the recent United Auto Workers strike, and as deliveries ramp up, other designers will apply their own artistic vision to the machine’s body panels. Throw in the inevitable deluge of aftermarket performance parts, from forced induction kits, to suspension packages, to more-effective aero, and things are looking up for C8 Corvette fans.

  3. Hate the bolt on look. Makes it look like (if done by factory) an after thought. Also ,just noticed that the rendering doesn’t seem to allow for wheel travel.

  5. Live to dream as this is just the beginning as car tuners around the world are licking their chops as one has to think that each of them have orders for dozens of C8 Corvettes for which they will present to the public via YouTube and car magazine over the summer months as some of said of building twin-turbocharged monsters with 1,200-1,400 hp which will take the top speed of the C8 Corvette to easily over 220 mph.
