Although the market introduction of the all-new 2020 Corvette was delayed by the lengthy United Auto Workers strike, serial production of the mid-engine sports car is now underway, and demand is still running high. Now, a C8 2LT Coupe is up for grabs in a no-reserve auction from Premier Auction Group.
By the looks of it, this 2020 Corvette isn’t actually built yet. Rather, the listing includes pictures taken from the C8’s online configurator which don’t even align with the vehicle description. As such, we’ve included configurator images of a C8 based on the listing description.
Highlight features for this 2020 Corvette 2LT Coupe include Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic paint on a Jet Black Mulan Leather interior, Carbon Flash 19-inch Aluminum wheels, Carbon Flash Side Vents and accents, and a Performance exhaust. It’s a nice setup, but the question is whether buyers will settle for someone else’s configuration just to get their car a little earlier.
Put it all into place, and pricing for this setup hits at $68,390, or $69,485 with the $1,095 Destination Freight charge. For reference, pricing for the 2020 Corvette starts at $59,995.
With that in mind, it’ll be interesting to see what this no-reserve auction will settle at with the final rap of the hammer. No doubt, owning one of the first 2020 Corvette units to roll off the factory floor comes with some serious bragging rights. That much was evidenced when the very first 2020 Corvette was auctioned off at the recent Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale event, selling to race team owner and dealership network owner Rick Hendrick for a cool $3 million. Proceeds went to benefit the Detroit Children’s Fund.

Without the Z51 package it will be lucky if it sells at all.
LOL Wrong. Even without the Z51 package it WILL sell, and it’ll sell very easily and quickly. Not for crazy money like the very first one did that Rick Hendrick bought, but it’ll still sell regardless.
Z51 package is a total waste of money unless you track your car. For every day use or just a Sunday driver you don’t need Z51 features.
You do if you want the front lift option and that is a must have option
Z51 option doesn’t mean you can order lift option. You have to order either the 2LT or 3LT to be able to order the lift option.
I completely & totally disagree. Some of us just actually really enjoy driving our cars – and if you grew up in a mountainous area like I did that Z51 package can prove both nice to have AND be fun to have while flogging your car around those twisty, curvy back roads – without a track anywhere in sight!
I wonder how long they are going to milk this car before they actually produce one.I don’t think its going to bring any kind of money until they produce the ZO6 or ZR1 or whatever they are going to call the performance model.
If that were true we would see the same buying pattern today. Chevrolet makes 4 tiers of Corvette (Stingray, Grand Sport, Z06 and ZR1) because there are buyers for each model. You might argue that the people coming over from foreign exotics are waiting for the Z06 and ZR1 models but I think you will find plenty of current vette owners and converters from more common models (Boxster, F-type, Supra, Z4, NSX, etc.) that are quite interested in this 2020 Stingray
That does make a lot of cense.I never thought of that.
FYI the new C8 is in production and has been for a couple weeks.
It will bring money now and more later as the expensive models come.
This are 2 C8 outside the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green KY

I would like to know if possible to get price list of options on the 2020 Corvett 3lt and 2lt with the X51 and the Z51 option thank you
no more than MSRP
Yes MSRP is what I mean for top dollar. The only premium is going to be for the first high HP model. ZO6 or ZR1 what ever its called.
It will probably reach the configured price.
C8s may get quite rare if the Chinese parts shortage hits in the coming weeks. If it gets worse, it could shut down every plant in NA.
It’s gonna be many social security and retirement checks being cashed……
That’s funny. Especially since I live in the retirement capitol of country here in South Florida and Corvette drivers UNDER 40 far outweigh Corvette drivers that are retirement age by EASILY 4 to 1 if not even more. I both know and see WAAYYY more folks under 40 in them than those 50 or older, not to mention the amount of YouTube personalities that already have a Corvette (or 2 or 3) plus many more that have placed their C8 orders — all of which are also under the ago of 40.
Probably car rental or kids, grandkids, nephews using the car when they not told to do. The C8 have the Ferris Bueller option of the odometer dropping when the car is on jack stands in reverse…..
Cam Bro,
That’s called anecdotal observations and doesn’t have much to do with reality. Tadge J. did say that the average age of a C7 buyer was 58. Previously, it was even higher.
75k that’s how much I would spend
Who is the seller of this Corvette?
Supposedly dealer allocations are very constrained, and some dealers are likely adding a substantial “Market Adjustment Factor” to their pricing. Even though GM frowns on this practice.
Is the seller a Chevrolet dealer betting that he can make a substantial profit with this publicity stunt?
