Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Gets Silverado HD Front-End Conversion: Video

It’s amazing how much of a vehicle’s styling comes down the front fascia. Like a nose job or lip injection on a person, a few nips and tucks to the front end of a truck can completely transform the way it looks. That much is evidenced by this new video from YouTuber DMAXRYNO, where we learn about one Chevrolet Silverado 1500 owner who gave his pickup the face of a Silverado 2500HD.

The video is surprisingly long, clocking in at over 17 minutes. The first five minutes or so are devoted to a walking tour of the host’s new garage and work space, but after that, we get into this impressive Chevrolet Silverado front-end conversion.

About a third of the way through the video, we get some nice rolling shots of the freshly converted pickup, as well as close-up details that give us a nice overview of the work done.

According to the truck’s owner, the conversion required a good number of parts, but wasn’t terribly complicated with regard to the work needed to get them on the truck. Compared to the old Chevrolet Silverado 1500 front-end, this 2500HD swap included a new hood and the associated hood hinges, given the 2500HD hood’s sizable weight compared to the previous 1500 hood. The grille was also swapped, as were the headlamps, the latter of which were customized with smoked lenses. The bumper was swapped as well, as were the 2500HD frame horns.

There’s a ton of custom touches front to back on this thing, and it’s all color-coordinated with a white finish. Chrome detailing is at a minimum, which makes the chrome that remains pop even more, while the blacked-out styling bits add some much-needed contrast. And of course, the custom suspension and sizable lift help to top it all off.

  1. LOL… when you need a big headline, and a huge, red arrow to
attract attention, it’s an epic fail. Looks like Hannah Montana
would step out at the mall…

    1. Question is why?? I’ve seen 2500’s with the 2016 GMC 1500 front clip installed which was nice. But why take the bigger truck front end and put it on a 1500? All that lift and suspension for a gutless 5.3 I’m assuming. You need a diesel to compensate for the extra weight.

  2. I would do this on a 2015+ Tahoe/suburban but the main reason that makes the 2500 great is that 6.6 diesel, can’t get that in a 1500, for some dumb reason
