Chevrolet Colorado Diesel, GMC Canyon Diesel Offered With Exhaust Relocation Kit

Anyone interested in using their diesel-powered Chevrolet Colorado or GMC Canyon for a little off-road action may be interested in picking up the official 2.8L Diesel Exhaust Tip Relocation Kit from GM Accessories. Offered for 2020 model year pickups equipped with the diesel engine option under the hood, the kit is “ideal for rock crawling, high-articulation scenarios, or anywhere additional clearance is required.”

The 2.8L Diesel Exhaust Tip Relocation Kit was first introduced for the 2020 model year, and is offered as a dealer-installed (LPO-level) item. The kit is tagged with RPO code VUZ.

The kit is specifically designed to add an extra two inches of exhaust tip clearance and an extra 9 degrees of exhaust tip departure angle to 2020 Chevrolet Colorado and 2020 GMC Canyon pickups, thus lowering the chance the exhaust will come into contact with something immovable while maneuvering in “challenging off-road conditions.”

The pipe is constructed from 2.75-inch 304 Stainless Steel, and connects to a high-polish four-inch exhaust tip with a slash cut finish.

Although installation does require cutting the factory exhaust system, the new tip is still legal in all 50 states, and does not void the new vehicle limited warranty.

The kit includes the associated 2.75-inch pipe, a clamp, an integrated exhaust hanger, the welded four-inch tip, plus installation instructions to fit it to your 2020 Chevrolet Colorado or 2020 GMC Canyon.

The kit is designed for 2020 Chevrolet and 2020 GMC Canyon models equipped with the optional 2.8L LWN inline four-cylinder turbodiesel Duramax. Under the hood of these two pickups, the LWN is tuned to produce 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque.

  1. They need this for the 2020 3500HD Duramax AT4 as well. Also for redirecting the exhaust out the side when the afterburner kicks in and melts the front of your fifth wheel.

  2. How about a picture with it installed?
