Buick Regal Discount Cuts TourX Price By $6,250 In February 2020

Buick Regal discount offers for the TourX wagon were very generous in recent months. Offers during the second half of 2019 included a 16 percent markdown in September, a 20 percent markdown in November, and another 20 percent discount in December. And now, for February 2020, Buick is still offering a worthwhile incentive, similar to last month’s offer.

This month’s offers include a cashback rebate of up to $6,250, or a separate incentive that includes a lesser cashback rebate plus interest-free financing. That said, we should point out that this month’s combined offer is also less significant than similar incentives in the final months of 2019.

The Incentive

Nationwide Buick Regal discount offers for the TourX during the month of February 2020 are as follows:

  • 2019 Regal TourX Retail Offer: $5,500 consumer cash + $750 GM loyalty cash = $6,250 total cash allowance
    • Excludes base trim level
    • To qualify for GM loyalty cash, buyer must show proof of ownership of a 2006 model year or newer select GM vehicle at least 30 days prior to the new vehicle sale.
  • 2020 Regal TourX Retail Offer: $2,750 consumer cash + $750 GM loyalty cash = $3,500 total cash allowance
    • Excludes base trim level

  • 2019 Regal TourX Finance Offer: 0 percent APR for 72 months + $1,000 cash back

  1. The TourX is going to be soooo missed when it’s no longer available.

    1. I think it’s great looking.
For years GM was dinged for not offering a wagon. When they finally did, no one bought it.

      1. They only offered the 3.6L V6 in Australia (where buyers had thousands of used Commodore VF wagons to choose from – that they liked more).

That was a big problem with performance wagon fans. You can get a CTS Wagon from ten years ago with more horsepower, for less money. Same problem with the Sky and Solstice GXP vs a BRZ or Toyota 86.

Auto makers don’t get that if old cars are faster, people will opt for the older car – even if rare.

        1. The 2011 CTS Sport Wagon 3.6L AWD has 304hp / 273 lb-ft torque and does 0-60 in 6.5 seconds.

          The 2020 Buick TourX 2.0T AWD has 250hp / 295 lb-ft torque and does 0-60 in 6.3 seconds.

I currently own both and the only tangible TourX “deduct” is its automatic engine Stop-Start feature can’t be turned-off. Other than that, there’s very little to complain about its ride, handling, utility or the traditional metrics of performance as a stand alone vehicle for its class / price point…or by any other comparison to the CTS Wagon (Sans the V variant.)

And with the recent Buick incentives / deals being offered, it becomes an even greater value that will age well and likely be the sought after by Tuners and Mod’ers. (See BITTER in Europe)

With all the folks complaining Wagons are disappearing, don’t blame GM / Buick / Opel / Holden for killing it. Congratulate them for offering it…like the CTS Wagon.

Simply ask those same folks “what’s in your garage?”

  2. Wish I were in market for new car!
Except for Regal I’ve all but given up on GM due to uninspiring design and a “good enough ” attitude when it comes to detail. (I’m not a SUV guy or would take a look at Encore).
I’m moved on to Mazda, Honda, Subaru and Kia BUT TourX is the best GM in a generation except maybe last generation Regal.

  3. The 2018 TourX is a terrific all around car. Great in snow, easily carries bicycles with the seats down, and I’m getting about 27MPG. If you want to spend $25K more for an Audi for the same experience have at it.
I have to agree with Blue Potato that it has cult car tuner potential.
Although I enjoy not seeing myself at every stoplight, its a shame such a good car was ignored by GM marketing.

  4. The problem is everything GM does is 75%, This car needed much more marketing, I’ve never seen a thing on the TourX, but also the interior isn’t as nice as an Outback. GM always says, “we built it but no one bought is so there is no market for this type of vehicle”…. Tell that to Subaru and others… I think many didn’t buy this because they knew it would be yet another GM orphan… this company is simply pathetic…

  5. I was looking to buy a TourX about a year ago. Took one on a test drive. The 4 banger sufficed for the job, although the 6 cylinder would have been a nice option. My only real criticism for the car is the stop-n-go feature, and lack of inventory to choose from on dealer lots. I wanted to buy GM, but ended up buying a Dodge Charger that’s been fun to drive, and trouble free.

GM never really marketed the Tourx, which is a shame since it is a sporty looking wagon that few people knew about. I suppose it was all part of GM’s strategy of getting out of the car market, and exiting from OPEL. GM is now putting all of its chips on Crossovers, SUVs, and soon to be EV market. Too bad, since most first-time buyers on a budget will opt for a car which may spark future brand loyalty w/ the other car manufacturer.
