The Chevrolet Colorado isn’t offered in a sporty street truck-style trim in North America, but there is one rather unlikely market where General Motors does offer a slightly more performance-focused version of the mid-size pickup: Thailand.
GM Thailand debuted the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado RS limited edition model last year, which features two-tone exterior paint, lowered suspension, RS badging, black Chevrolet Bowtie emblems and 20-inch alloy wheels. They didn’t stop there, either. To promote the new limited-run truck, they showed off the custom 2020 Colorado RS Street Concept at the 2019 Thailand International Motor Expo, which turns the tuning dial up to ten with a host of aftermarket parts. These include black 18-inch alloy wheels, Recaro seats, a racing steering wheel, a sports gear knob and pedals, racing gauges, adjustable shocks and struts and Brembo brakes. Rounding out the changes is an exterior vinyl graphic wrap, which GM Thailand says was inspired by Chevrolet’s “rich NASCAR heritage” and was designed in the GM Australia design studios in Melbourne.
While the Colorado RS Street is not representative of a production model coming from GM Thailand, it still serves a rather important purpose. In addition to promoting the arrival of the production Colorado RS, it will also serve as inspiration for tuners who may want to purchase the truck for the purpose of customizing it. Thailand has a large custom truck culture and many customers install accessories, modifications and other ornaments on their pickups. Sean Poppitt, GM Southeast Asia marketing boss, explained that “personal expression is an important part of pickup truck culture in Thailand in a statement made following the truck’s debut, saying the Colorado RS serves as “a tribute to truck customers who want to go their own way,” and “provides the perfect platform for customers to add their own personal stamp on Chevrolet’s signature styling.”
We’ve already seen photos of the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado RS Street, but now a fan-made video has surfaced on YouTube showing the truck on the floor at Thailand’s premiere auto show. The video provides a complete walk-around of the truck’s interior and also gives us a good look at its interior, so be sure to check it out below if you want to see more of the RS Street and its various aftermarket parts.

Yes, make one for the U.S but don’t make it that ugly!!!!
Needs larger wheels to better match the wheel wells.
Are the gauges “taped” to the windshield? Seriously? SMH. Not my idea of a sanitary professional build.
I like everything, but make the decal optional. Oh, left hand drive, please. LOL. Still don’t get the NASCAR/Thailand thing.
straight outta Compton (junior high)
I am waiting to purchase a new version Colorado with a V8.
I currently have a 2010 Colorado with a 5.3 V8.
Bought new in 2010. No sporty V8 since.
Mine is an extended cab. Will consider a Ford Ranger if they have a V8 first.

not a fan of a 2-wheel drive mini truck.
how about a 2 door 8 foot bed Silverado on higher trim levels other than a worktruck?? Not everyone wants a 4 door pickup truck. You sell them (2 doors) in other countries, but not AMERICA. So much for being all American, boo hiss Chevrolet. Is a 2 door LS Trail boss asking for to much??
