New 2017 Chevrolet Express Cargo Van Still Available At Los Angeles Dealer

While we love uncovering brand-new sports cars and brand-new luxury cars left on dealer lots, we also get a kick out of finding those more utilitarian offerings – like this brand-new 2017 Chevrolet Express Cargo Van still available at a dealership in Los Angeles.

The Chevrolet Express nameplate first hit production in the mid-‘90s. The full-size van is also offered as the GMC Savana, which is mechanically identical to its Chevy-branded counterpart. The line received its first facelift for the 2003 model year, while the Express 1500 was discontinued in June of 2014, leaving the 2500, 3500, and 4500 models as the three remaining models on offer. Both a cargo-oriented configuration and passenger-oriented configuration are available, as is a Cutaway body style for added customization options.

This particular example is a 3500 cargo variant, with an extended-wheelbase body. The exterior is covered in classic Summit White paint, while the interior sports Medium Pewter upholstery. Black exterior trim keeps this simple, as do the 16-inch steel wheels with Gray center caps.

Inside, we find an abundance of cargo room, as well as a few select comfort features, including air conditioning, an audio system with AM/FM stereo, an MP3 player, and USB support, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Under the hood, this 2017 Chevrolet Express Cargo Van equips the 2.8L LWN inline four-cylinder turbo-diesel Duramax powerplant, which is tuned to deliver 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. The GM eight-speed automatic transmission sends output to the rear wheels exclusively.

For those buyers looking for that perfect work machine that offers tons of space and simple, reliable design, then this new 2017 Chevrolet Express Cargo Van might be just the ticket. The van is listed for sale at Selman Chevrolet, located in the city of Orange, in Los Angeles, California. Pricing is set at $42,825.

  1. If this van is a diesel it would have the Duramax Diesel logo on the front door in the lower corner.
