Welcome back to Dealer Find, an ongoing GM Authority series where we scour the listings for hidden gems left on the dealer lot. Our latest Dealer Find is a brand-new 2016 Cadillac CTS, which offers four-door luxury, loads of comfort, and high tech, all for a very attractive price.
The Cadillac CTS nameplate first hit the scene for the 2003 model year, with production ending over the summer after three generations. Indirectly replaced by the Cadillac CT6 and Cadillac CT5, the latter of which is just now arriving at dealers in the United States, the CTS still has an impressive bit of kit, especially for the asking price.
This particular example is the third model year of the final third generation, and is offered in the Luxury trim level. Mechanical details include the turbocharged 2.0L LTG inline four-cylinder engine, which is tuned to produce 268 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 295 pound-feet of torque at 3,000 rpm. Output is routed through the new-for-2016 eight-speed 8L45 automatic transmission, which feeds the rear wheels exclusively.
Outside, this 2016 Cadillac CTS is covered in Red Obsession Tintcoat paint, which is matched to 17-inch alloy wheels with an ultra-bright machined finish and dark painted pockets.
Meanwhile, the cabin space is done up with Light Platinum leather seating with Jet Black accents, plus Natural Sapele wood trim. Tech bits include the Driver Awareness Package, which tosses in safety features like Safety Alert Seat, Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Change Alert, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and Forward Collision Alert, among others.
There’s also a 13-speaker Bose sound system and a heated steering wheel.
All this goodness is available now at Cadillac Fort Walton Beach, in Walton Beach, Florida, where it’s listed for $27,000. That’s a whopping $26,275 off the MSRP – not bad for a brand-new Cadillac CTS.
