Chevrolet rebate offers for the Equinox are applicable to both 2019 and 2020 models during the month of January 2020. However, unlike last month, this larger cashback rebate is exclusive to 2020 models, and is notably less significant than recent offers, including the $6,750 discount in December and 20-percent discount in November, which actually doubled the current offer in some cases.
Chevy did offer worthwhile incentives for the Equinox throughout the majority of 2019, starting with a 21-percent discount in March, followed by a 20-percent discount in April, and a 14-percent discount in June. However, it’s worth noting that the incentives were more conservative a couple of times, such as the $4,000 discount offered in October.
Incentives
Nationwide Chevrolet discount offers for the Chevrolet Equinox during January 2020 are as follows:
- 2019 Equinox Finance Offer: $750 APR cash + 0 percent APR (interest-free) for 72 months for well-qualified buyers who borrow from GM Financial
- 2020 Equinox Retail Offer: $3,750 cash allowance (excludes base L trim)
- 2020 Equinox Finance Offer: $500 APR cash + 0 percent APR for 72 months when financing with GM Financial
Interested parties should note that the above cashback incentive and finance offers will run through February 3rd, 2020. It’s also worth noting that all current Chevrolet discount offers for the Equinox, are available to any potential buyer, rather than being limited to competitive owners or to current GM owners. That should appease current GM owners disgruntled by the automaker’s recent incentives exclusively for owners of competitive makes.
For reference, here are the applicable 2019 and 2020 Chevrolet Equinox trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, $1,195 destination freight charge included:
- L – $24,995
- LSÂ – $27,095
- LT – $28,395
- Premier – $32,295
- L – $24,995
- LS – $27,495
- LT – $28,695
- Premier – $32,595

About Chevrolet Equinox
The Chevrolet Equinox is a compact crossover. It slots above the Chevrolet Trax and below the Chevrolet Traverse. It will also be positioned below the rumored to be the future Chevrolet Blazer. The first-generation Equinox ran from the 2005-2009 model years and was based on the first-generation Theta platform. The second-generation Equinox was offered from the 2010-2017 model years and was based on the Theta 2 platform. Both the first- and second-generation models were "tweeners", in that they straddled the compact and midsize CUV segments in size. The third-generation model was introduced for the 2018 model year. It rides on the GM D2 platform shared with the second-generation GMC Terrain, Chevrolet Cruze, and Chevrolet Volt and, unlike its two predecessors, is positioned squarely in the compact segment.
The third-generation, 2018 and newer Equinox features an all-new exterior and interior, while being slightly smaller inside and out compared to the outgoing model. It also offers an all-new engine lineup and an all-new lightweight architecture that enables a weight savings of over 400 pounds compared to the second-gen model. As a result, the new Equinox gets better fuel economy while also delivering improvements in ride, handling, packaging, and safety.
The Equinox is assembled at the following GM plants:
- GM CAMI plant in Ontario, Canada operated by GM Canada
- GM Ramos plant in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, Mexico operated by GM Mexico
- Wuhan II plant in Hubei, China operated by Shanghai-GM

The Equinox 2.0T Premier model is a little steep, but legitimately under rated. Some of the competitor’s prices have increased to being in Equinox 2.0T territory without offering an uplevel engine.
I suggest that anyone looking at a mid sized crossover to try it. It’s a hoot to drive.
Francisco, this statement is obsolete: “It will also be positioned below the rumored to be the future Chevrolet Blazer.” since the Blazer is now a regular selling product, and I have seen many of them on the road, and even in TV series such as “Hawaii Five-O”. Or did you just copied and pasted the old Equinox description?
